Nice drawknife. Used to make scrapers out of log chipper blades from a papermill. They were some steel. Thank you for the video, Todd. Stay safe and stay warm

That's a heavy duty draw knife indeed! From experience, you may not let the sun shine on freshly de- barked logs, the heat softens sap and it "runs", that can damage the logs, maybe your logs are too big to be affected?????

Not sure how running sap would damage the logs but would be interested to hear your experience. Thanks for watching.

@@SurvivalSherpa what I found was the sap would drip out of the logs, I used to make tipi poles BTW, this would leave an empty space that may weaken the thinner ends, over time the poles did crack and eventually break, shortening the poles, I also found cube rot within some poles as well, more weakness!

Well that's something I don't usually hear. I've got plans to add a mic to my set up to remedy that problem on audio. Thanks for letting me know.
