In case you should know this, YG is one of a company that train their trainees in a 'harsh' way. They care about trainees and really want to make them better in a short period thats why even ex trainee will debut really well in other group because they got precious lessons when they were still in YG. Even until now, it really help their mental whenever they face fake rumours and bad comments because they trained with that and they dont give af. after you debut in YG or you left YG, you don't need to pay debt during trainees not like other company and they get their salary around 70%-80% thats why if it comes to salary YG is the best and they do care about their artist condition. Thats why they dont overwork. Despite having little amount of comeback, as YG stan for so long, we understand why YG did that. I am late to the party, but here are some key points about Yang Hyunsuk as a YG stan 1. YG never rushes to produce a grp, but whenever a new grp comes out, it will be outstanding and well-rounded. 2. The training system in YG is very tough and rigorous. 3. YG's comments are always straightforward and merciless to prepare them for the even harsher K-pop scene and the world. But he s a very genuine person who wants u to shine brightly. 4. Eventhough he s tough, he has the softest spot for all his artists. 5. He has an eagle eye in picking up super-talented ppl. 6. YGE Is the company who pays their artists exceptionally well, and the trainees are not required to pay anything to the company during the training period since he considers it as an investment. 7. Finally, he s a part of the very first K-pop group. He s an idol hinself, especially known as a dancer.

The reason why Junkyu loses his confidence is because JYP. If you watch that video you’ll see that it’s wayyyyyy too harsh even YG himself pissed off when he hears those words. YG seems to be harsh but in reality he just points out every trainee’s flaw to make them getting better. I remember when YG also gifted Junkyu something when he made some improvements.

37:10 "That comment that guy made is not gonna help your confidence..." Well, that comment was made by the actual YG himself and the thing is it did help JUNKYU while in the process. A short thing about YG's training style in giving feedback is that he needs to be harsher because the public is going to be even harsher, meaning to say the trainees are getting firsthand what the public is probably going to comment on through YG's mouth thereby making them numb, mentally and emotionally stable to every critics when they reach that point which is also why you have this IDGAF aura on BIGBANG, BLACKPINK or any other YG artists who went through the same system.

I think you need to watch YG Treasure Box to understand YG’s training system better and the reason why they do the things they do for the trainees. Yes, it’s harsh. But ultimately, it benefits the trainees a lot bec it allows them to push themselves further and learn how to deal with criticism from the public better. There’s a logic to the madness. It’s how the Big 3 maintains the level of excellence in their trainees. This is the reason why SM/YG/JYP has never debuted groups who aren’t deemed ready with regard to talent and public opinion.

Treasure have drama on youtube. The mysterious class (8 eps) and actually have a short drama in one of t-map eps. Jeongwoo and haruto are bestfriend and really close since yg treasure box because they were born in 2004 and cant really say more because treasure members really close to each other even the oldest with the youngest depite their age gap. Mashiho left because his health condition and it took him a year+ to show up in public and im not blaming yedam but he left because he wanna focus on producing songs and just go solo.

You will see my comment alot since i will write one by one hehe. So jaehyuk is a person who can use both hands when writing idk the term of that but yeah he can use right and left hand. But he usually use his left hand. All treasure member didnt have their own social media acoount yet but they usually active on weverse, X (twitter) and instagram. They still living a dorm but they have their own room. They have 3 seperate dorms and one dorm have 4 members

Japanese names are easy to pronounce. Just break it into syllables. Ka-Ne-Mo-To Yo-Shi-No-Ri (for more simplicity: Kah-Ney-Moe-Toe Yo-She-No-Ree) Ha-Ma-Da A-Sa-Hi (Hah-Mah-Dah Ah-Sah-Hee) Wa-Ta-Na-Be Ha-Ru-To (Wah-Tah-Nah-Beh Hah-Rue-Toe) Korean names are more difficult for most Americans to pronounce but practice makes perfect. Jungwoo is pronounced "Jung-oo" (W is silent). When a younger member addresses an older member, they use their name and add "hyung" to it which is why you got confused with Junghwan calling Jungwoo-hyung. I suggest their T-Map series to get to know them better. It helped me a lot back in the day. Also a lot of us were against Junghwan joining the group because he was too young as it said in the guide. I was also upset back then when the decision was made, but nobody was bullying Junghwan. Everyone that commented back then were criticizing YG himself. That kid was only 13 years old and had to basically be raised by the members within a very competitive and dangerous industry. While you're young, it doesn't seem that bad for young minors to be debuting but the older you get, the more you realize how bad it is. The industry is incredibly dark and cruel, so it's not safe for young minors to be debuting. While I'm thankful that Junghwan got to debut with Treasure and is their youngest brother, I'm still against kids debuting. I've been part of the kpop community long enough to think anybody under 17-18 is too young to debut.

Treasure doesn't really have fixed positions. Only the leaders and Main vocal (Jeongwoo). So they don't have a Main or lead dancer, but members who are very strong with dance are Hyunsuk, Jihoon, Doyoung and Junghwan

U can see the result how good and strong the boys are and they know it firsthand witnessing how BigBang and Blackpink became big and baby monster now became all rounder and confident. YGs principle is molding his artists in a rigid and harsh way to prep them from a more cruel real world called netizens so most YG artists are mentally and emotionally stable compared to others. Knowing the track record of Kpop idols suicide rate, YG provides counseling for their idols. U can see it in treasure box.

Extra random information. Jihoon, Junkyu, and Doyoung are called the Treasure Triplets because of their similar features. Hyunsuk and Jihoon are called the Mom and Dad of the group. This is something they themselves said. Due to how they lead the group. Hyunsuk takes care of them emotionally and will listen to them while Jihoon tends to be the type that if you brought him an issue or problem, he’ll do his hardest to come up with a solution. That’s not to say that Jihoon isn’t empathetic or Hyunsuk doesn’t try to problem solve though. Jokingly but kinda really Yoshi has said he raised Haruto due to the time they spent as trainees in Japan. Haruto and Asahi both have tattoos. I believe Haruto has three(?) and Asahi has two. Jihoon can sing the highest in the group. Jihoon and Jeongwoo came up with Junghwan’s nickname Super King Cow Baby during an episode of Treasure Map. Junghwan’s last name is So which means cow. Also he was a growing boy at the time (still is) so he was getting taller and thicker. Also he’s their baby. Yoshi is actually 4th gen Zainichi Korean. In simple terms he’s Korean-Japanese. His great-grandparents were Koreans that had settled in Japan back during the Japanese colonization period. Big shock for Teu-Land. Random Mashi fact: he has a motorcycle license. I might add more. Actually Treasure Box episode consist of votes from fans with of course YG so they also consider the fans vote that's why it's hard for YG to choose originally it's just a one group but because there's a backlash happening they formed another group also 2 members of the final 13 lineup already left YG after the final 7 lineup they didn't know that there's another group so I think YG bring back Yoshi & Asahi since he knows they are potential composers cause the other 2 already left BX & Seunghoon they are also good plus experienced trainee of YG both of them are now in CIX one is the leader it's maybe a blessing in disguised 😊

37:23 YG's comment on Junkyu's performance that time may seem harsh but if you think of it, its a constructive criticism. It needed to be addressed so he can challenge himself and grow. Its just he didn't sugarcoat it. As others have mentioned, its kind of a preparation to the public criticism they will receive from everyone once they debut. I just wanted to say tho it may not seem like it in the video but YG himself is very fond of Junkyu. During that time he was among the longest trainees, as a Junkyu biased myself I felt like YG really fought hard and pushed Junkyu to keep going, he didn't wanna lose such a gem. Another TMI, I think one of the major factors that made him lose his confidence during mixnine was the bad comments he got from JYP during the show (he was one of the judges along with YG), a notable one was when he told junkyu he's not bad but there was nothing special about him (ISTG TO THIS DAY I STILL HATE HIM FOR SAYING THAT). But YG thinks otherwise (so do I!) and im glad he helped him gained his confidence back, even going to lengths of giving him a personal gift to encourage and motivate him (which rarely happens for a trainee). I believe junkyu felt that he indeed is special because of that gesture

Most of their debut concepts were actually scratched out including their group logo,in ears and matching mics. That’s why their recent album was titled “reboot” to indicate a fresh start with a more mature concept!😌

Junkyu is a producer too and made a song for treasure t5 sub unit, please check it too! And he was one of producers for their best selling album. But it was later then this video, he is also genius game player.
