out of the series this used to be my absolute favorite as a kid (until the last books came out) and I must have reread it at least 50 times !!! i felt so proud of myself the first time I read it because I remembered what they had to do to pass through that specific species of dragon unharmed and I was so unsure and taking it very seriously, like I was actually gonna get us all killed if I got it wrong, but I remembered it correctly and it was no joke one of the best moments of my childhood lol

The books have a great plot, and what seems as a bunch of unrelated stories actually tie together really well in the last couple of books. Whereas the movies are good movies by themselves, they do not have any relation to the books, and they just steal a “theme” and disrespect these masterpieces.

This was always my favorite book in the series!! It's the one I remember most vividly, I was on the edge of my seat reading it. My 21st birthday is this weekend so honestly funny timing that I'd start this one today. I'm going to the local aquarium. A weird way to spend my birthday for sure 😅
