On a galactic scale, it’s like a toddler hitting an adult with a big stick and then that toddler being sent to their room without the stick or anything for entertainment outside the folly that was such an attack. Doesn’t seem like humanity of the future would just send them to their cradle world and not try to still be friendly. We like friends. We protect our friends with our very lives. We will cleanse the galaxy of those who harm our friends, even when it would bring us to the brink of extinction. Be our friends. Being our enemies just costs too much.

Hopefully enough information gets out that the next visitor just leaves messages of being a different species from the invaders and wanting peace. Leaving a comunication satellite that sends out two messages one of peace to the humans and one declaring this human space and jealously defended; which is also a message of peace.

the last story.. can just imagen while that small light was all the tourist/students ? group where seeing , the local research and assets coordination center where scrambling as probes and other stations around the planet where screaming alarms of software subversion and physical entrance points all around the planet where opening into its depths along with some major ones from wich fully operational ships started to rise towards the burnt skies , to the hymn of ground to orbital hardware that been raised up hammering anything in low or medium orbital range with excessive overkill saturation of munitions.

*Physicist's Note:* The energy potential of FUSION makes FISSION look like a car battery. If we manage to figure out how to fuse the H^2 in deuterium at a low enough cost (and my money is STILL on an artificial-capilary system), then we could make runaway reactor "nukes" that could EASILY scorch the entire planet barren (plus, generating a shit ton of helium, lol). A side bonus is that regular deuterium reactors would have enough long-term power output to EASILY run an entire underground civilization for centuries. So, in my opinion, the author's use of "Fusion reactors" was likely intentional, and this was meant to be a "near future" invasion...say 2040.
