Wow, what a hidden gem we have here at the North Course at the Golf Club at Terra Lago! The terrain is stunning, and although the conditions are hit and miss, you can’t discount the value of the layout.

Really great videos mate. Love this golf couse. Even though im a 15 hcp and play from the whites (occassionally blues) this is a super fun and challenging course. If im playing a new course in Socal I always check to see if you have a vlog on it first haha. Thanks man keep up the great videos.

Oh what the heck, I actually flinched at that intro lmao. It's like those videos where the baseball flies directly into the camera. Caught me off guard! That color contrast on hole 2 with the blues and greens doesn't even look real. Also on hole 6. How cool!

The Back 9 used to host the Skins Game back in the early 2000’s. It’s very very good! Stay tuned!

Hey #Terminator Golf I've (only read) some very bad reviews about the condition of the two courses there. Which I hope isn't true. They were fantastic when I lived there. Great layouts. Fun place. How is conditioning? I heard bunkers like rocks and almost disrepair.

Also I don't know if you've ever heard of Tommy Jacobs or not. He owned a little executive course on El Cielo road in Palm Springs. Old people and beginners mainly. I was Tommy's assistant pro. Now why with all the great courses in the desert why work at a dumpy executive course. When I met Tommy I knew I wanted to work for this guy. Dude was a player and mind you he was 65 when I met him but he could still shoot right around his age. Ryder Cup memeber. 1964 He set the 18 and 54 scoring record at US Open at Congressional and lost to Ken Venturi who in Tommy's words was given an out of limits amout of time for a medical break due to heat frustration and dehydration. It was upper 90s and humid that whole week. So Tommy should have won but they did nothing. Obviously that win would have changed Tommy's life (which the life he had was awesome in its own rights so don't feel too bad for him). Also if I wanted to mess with Tommy I'd mention Venturi knowing full well that im gonna have to clean the bathroom for mentioning it, but it was worth it to get him going. The second the name Venturi left your lips he'd smack his desk and say that son of a bitch cheated. Now go clean the restrooms. Good times. He Tied for first in the Masters with Nicklaus and Gay Brewer in 66. 4 Tour wins. Won the Bob Hope when he was in his 20s. Got to go to dinner at Bob Hopes house with Frank, Sammy, and a bunch of celebs. And Beat his best friend Johnny Pott in a playoff at what would become the Buick Torrey Pines tournament today. Tommy played bad final round and left with Sally to drive to LA. Listening to the radio he heard Johnny blow up towards the end of round and all of a sudden Tommy's tied for first. Quick u turn and sped back to the course. Birdied first playoff hole right out of the car. The stories Tommy had were priceless. Tommy was also on the committee that broke away from PGA of America and formed the players union aka The PGA Tour. The knowledge about golf, and building courses (opened La Costa ans The Farms at Rancho Santa Fe) the man was a wealth of knowledge and good friend. His brother John was a Major Champion on the Senior Tour. Played a lot of golf with Tommy (TJ)and John (JJ) Jacobs and Johnny Pott. A bunch of great golfers and better friends. Anyway I love so many courses iut there for different reasons. Luckily being in the PGA of America i got to play the vast majority of them in my 3.5 years in Palm Springs. Great times. That desert is my happy place. Sadly Tommy passed away on my 50th birthday of all days July 9,2022. I miss that guy and I am honored to have known him and called him a friend. Love your videos. Maybe I'll see you in the desert sometime. I'm going out July 3rd-12th and can't wait. I love summer in the desert. Wide open courses and restaurants with the exception of In N Out as they're always packed but well worth it. I wish the owners would move to Michigan. 🤣
