Poker incorporates game theory, math, statistics, etc... it’s a great game to learn. But I do agree it’s a very hard sell unless this is some private school. Poker still boils down to chance and you’re putting money on the line a la “you’re gambling”. If it was at a university, I think it’s somewhat of an easy sell. I even took a wine class my senior year of undergrad and we visited several wineries and anyone over 21 could try the wines. But high school is a much harder sell.
