When I solo launch, I back truck in, unhook the front as I’m climbing on, fire up the outboard and power off trailer and tie off to dock, Off the ramp loading or unloading in under a minute lol just a bass boat though… cheers from West Virginia!
@nammie123453 жыл бұрын
I do the same alot but it is easy with a small jon boat but impossible with my other boat. Much harder to get over the bow from the trailer of anything that has a bow rail or high freeboard. The rope method is well known around here and is very fast and safe for old people like me, no climbing, no sliding on the trailer rails.

Omg!!! So awesome! I have to say we appreciate the crew at Carrera so much! We originally worried about Al seeming so serious and grumpy. Anyone can be caught on a bad day. He obviously has a huge sense of humor and is an awesome person. If we were in the market for a boat I wouldn’t look anywhere else first! Your friends at Copper Barn Homestead on KZbin ❤️

At last 200k! 👏 Congrats Alfred the King of Miami Chit Shows! 🏆 I've been watching for several months and finally half azz caught up. Great Channel. I've shared it on Facebook several times. I'm a river boat Capt (100 Ton Master Merchant Mariner) on the Lower Mississippi River (1000 miles) Boats and water are my life. I've learned more about the real Miami on your channel than anyother. Thanks for the entertainment. You have a good heart and personality. Rare these days. 300k is next!

That’s the way I launched by myself before I got a quick release but I threw a long stern line up on the dock too so I can control the back of the boat. Now I have a quick release (Drotto) where the front winch used to be. Float it and then get into it and pull the quick release. Tie it up quickly and go park. I just pull it right up until it latches to recover the boat. Works like a charm.
@mikeybirdttl3 жыл бұрын
If it was me then I would have a bow and stern line ready and push the boat off as normal. I am normally on my own.

Dude, there is only one way to lift the curse. It is simple, easy and free. As King of the Chit Show, you must be the one that introduces her to the water by backing the boat down the ramp yourself. It is the only way. Oh, please dont forget to film that chit show!🙃

@keithscudder71362 жыл бұрын
They aren't used in the ocean. Most likely, they are used in shallow Biscayne Bay Or the skinny waters up by Miami. Have a nice day.

@tomgoss97653 жыл бұрын
DONT tie bow line, use quick clips on a rope from bow cleat (dockside of boat ) to stern cleat. The rope should be long enough to run OUTSIDE the trailer guide, but not drag. Back up, hook the rope up, (cleat to cleat OUTSIDE the guide pole) back in JUST enough till she floats a bit and the nose roller is just above waterline (each boat has a "balance" kinda point just before she floats ). At that point you should be able to grab the rope, pull back and have COMPLETE control of your boat. Done it no less than 1000 times.
