That is lovely and I have stacks of embroidered vintage/antique tray cloths I could use to make something similar. Thanks for the inspiration!

I agree, a plain outside border. It would not only frame the piece, give the eye a place to rest and it would give a great way to showcase those beautiful corner motifs. I can’t wait to see the finished quilt, it’s gonna be gorgeous!

I do know you haven't made a single quilt, yet. That's quite the to-do list you have. If you need any help and advice you only need to knock on my workroom door - that's the door under the stairs next to the shoe rack, in your house! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😘😘💚

This is really beautiful, I love the delicate colours and patterns of the fabrics you’ve used. I’ve seen a few people use the “wrong” side of a fabric to get the colour or volume (I’m not sure if that’s the correct term) that they need. It worked perfectly in this piece. It’s going to be a beautiful quilt when it’s finished. It’s got a lovely country, vintage vibe to it with the colours, patterns and vintage embroidery. Vintage pieces like yours are nearly impossible to find in my local charity shops. I’m not sure if they just bin them thinking that nobody wants them anymore, there used to be loads of them 10+ years ago. I have asked that if they get any in that they let me know and I’ve left my number at these shops. I can’t wait to see the next instalment.

Hi Alexandra, glad you like the quilt to be. That's a shame about local charity shops, I've also struggled to find pieces that way, I tend to buy job lots on eBay now, it can be a bit hit or miss, but there are usually some pieces worth rescuing.

Beautiful work, however I find your camera angle makes it ver6 hard for me to watch your videos. Such a shame.
