A Historical Walking Tour with Martin McCrossan in Derry aka Londonderry

In August, 2018, we visited Londonderry. A highspot was the historical walking tour offered for a small fee by Martin McCrossan from Derry City Tours. Our guide did a magnificent job explaining the city's history while we walked around the walls encircling the old city center. I hope this video will prove useful to school children fulfilling a homework assignment, or people who have taken the tour who, like me, would love to review all they learned. I've just visited the city a few weeks, wish I had got a tour guide. That being said I don't think any were working on a wet Monday in February.

My aged parents had a very negative experience up there ..locals were horrible ...shop keepers rude...I wouldn't mind but they were in their late 70s..a horrible bunch...I wouldn't recommend anyone from the South to go there tbh...they really are the same as they ever were up there..

Hi Mr. Cheesegrater (nice name). I did hear both names, Derry and Londonderry, when we traveled in the region. Looking in Wikipedia just now, I learned a little more about the "dispute:" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derry/Londonderry_name_dispute. Since I'm not from Northern Ireland, I am not associated with either side, however I will change the title so that hopefully both sides feel represented. Thank you for helping me to become better informed.
