Thank you so much for this history, I was born and raised in the northern most corner of Breckenridge County, but know little of it's history. The history about Irvington was really interesting to me and my first memory of visiting there was in 1952 when Truman was campaigning, we went there to watch Truman come through on his campaign train. I can still see him on the rear of the train waving as he went by. There was a train station and restaurant right by the tracks and I experienced my first ever milk shake there, it was a taste of heaven for me. My grandparents moved there when I was young and the trains would stop and take on water at the station. There is an area there that was called Mt Marino and I believe it preceded the town of Irvington. Looking forward to part 2.
