That's very noble, and I used to be that way too when I was young. But truth, begging is a profession, bcuz there's lots and lots of resources for people who have no money and nowhere to go. And a lot of homeless people are not really homeless and make a lot of money begging. More money than people going to work every day do. So, you see someone without a coat or shoes, the response is to feel compassion and give. Which is the whole point. They not giving that up to be responsible and do better.
