Omg! I was convinced that the Garnet Betty and Mathew trousers are the same color! So happy to hear about the release! I want a Betty in 90% of the colors! I am as well very sensitive to mohair and some coarser wool (even with an undershirt on) so I accepted my fate and don’t even look at items with that composition despite being initially attracted to the brand because of those dreamy Joya and Marylis knits. Which is probably a good thing that I am saving up there and investing in items I am actually comfortable in.

Thank you for the video, Katie! I placed my first order with Sezane a few days ago, and I’m really excited (I’ve definitely been influenced by you!) I made a very small order because I want to get an idea of their sizing before I go crazy. I ordered the Honey shirt and the Le Chamade T, but I’ve got my eye on so many things! I’m in Australia, and we’ve just gone into Spring, so most of those gorgeous knits would have to go into storage for a few months (not that that’d stop me, haha!)

The Matthew trousers is a keep for sure - it matches your wardrobe perfectly! I also felt the same way about the Chlo blouse, I absolutely loved it when I saw the look book but the material is quite thin and I’m not sure if I’ll get a lot of use on the Dutch weather. The material reminded me of the Nele blouse I tried but didn’t like it either. About the Emile cardigan, it’s indeed itchy but I always wear mine with something underneath and it doesn’t bother me. I can vouch that it holds the shape after washing as well :) I loved the Nicia dress on you, this green shade is perfect but I do get the shape isn’t an easy one to style.

Think about the blue Chlo for Spring/Summer! It might not be very “autumn” appropriate but definitely Spring! I think Sezane is doing a few pieces that are more Spring for those in the Southern Hemisphere now that the brand has grown. Any of the autumn colours I would need to put away for 6 months 😅 I did mention this on your short but if you don’t like the Emile fabric, try the Louis cardigan in the burgundy. I have it in the navy from last year and I love it! It’s 100% merino, so soft, looks delicate but isn’t, holds up well to hand washing! Highly recommend ❤ 😂 you just mentioned the Louis at the end of the video as I was typing this 😊

Mila in New York recommends Uniqlo's Heattech Scoop Neck Long Sleeved Thermal Top to wear under itchy Sézane knits. I am tempted to get the Emile in grey but will get the Uniqlo top first, as I don't normally wear itchy thick knits. Hope that helps.

I followed her recommendation too. Doesn’t work for me unfortunately 😔. I guess it depends on the scratchy knit’s fiber length and orientation as well as the level of individual sensitivity since they can still poke through.

@@Laura-tb7nm Oh really, thanks for letting me know. I agree, it's all very personal. I have quite a few Sézane jumpers and I'm not so sensitive to them, so fingers crossed an under layer will help. Can I ask, if you ordered your Uniqlo from a European site and how you figured out their sizing? I'm a UK 10/EU 38/US 6 and I think their calculator suggested a size L for me. I wonder if the sizing varies region to region.

Hi Katie, do you still have the white Valentine blouse? I think it would pair very nicely with the dress. ❤ I ordered identically the Axelle boots and this Chlo shirt but sent them back today due that the padding in size 39 was differently in the heel region (quality control 🤔) and size 38 was a bit hard in the heel padding and rather on the smaller side. So disappointing! I totally agree with the Chlo shirt, the draping of the collar is not so nice and the sleeves are longer this time than the Chlos from last seasons - I need maximum 62 cm and they were longer. Ordered the Louis in burgundy as well 👍 Thanks a lot for the video, looking forward seeing the next one 😊

Hi Katie, great video as per usual. The boots look amazing, and also the Matthew trousers and how you style them. Too bad for the shirt, I agree with you. I love the dress on you, but I also see what you mean with the “kid going to church”. It reminds me of my childhood and the dresses I used to wear in the 90’s going to primary school. I also think that it would be rather strange to have that much weight and warmth from the dress, but then only a thin layer on the arms. I’d personally be cold. Lol. But it looks really really nice on you!

So I too love the Emile cardigan and the Basile… Kinda obsessed really… Have them in a few colors where I find not all of them are as itchy as the burgundy… I did buy the burgundy one (still love it) and is super itchy compared to many others I own. 2 cardigans that I can recommend that are much softer and still in stock is the Multicolored Yellow Violet Emile (hands down my favorite!) and just tried the Pierre Cardigan. The Pierre was so beautiful and quite soft actually… both of these actually had cotton in them and the multicolored had the kid mohair… Perhaps try these if they are in your color wheelhouse 🙃💕

I love the boots and the trousers on you. I think you can match them easily with your Clyde. The blouse is very pretty. I often wear my shirts with a cardigan when it's cold so I don't mind the plain back. That green dress is lovely on you. I prefer it with a simple shirt or even with the blue one I find it pretty. It's giving me Emma Peel vibes 🥰 Concerning the Emile in grenat, I'm a bit on the fence for this piece. I've received it too and I love the colour. However I find it more scratchy than my other Emile in red and even the wool or the material that they used looks a bit off compared to my other one. I need to decide if I keep it or not now. I'm just afraid that the quality is not the same and that it would shrink at first wash.

I just got the Axelle boots in the same shade and they're beautiful! I ordered them before watching this video and I'm relieved I sized up before realising it was recommended. I wore them out for the first time today and, while they were very easy to walk in, I , found the top part was really digging into my calves and I came back with nasty "rings" around them and some blisters on my calves (not to mention some tiny blood patches on the inside of the boot) :( Just wondering if you had the same issue and found a solution? Do they become less "tough" the more you wear them? I don't think I can continue telling myself "beauty is pain" as I walk through the pain! Xx

oh nooo! So sometimes, if I'm wearing full length jeans or trousers where the top of the boot is covered, I'll unzip the boots half way and it allows more breathing room around the ankle/calf. Avoids this happening and the boot still is fine to walk in. Obviously you might not wanna do that if you're wearing a skirt or something cropped where you can see the top of the zipper! Or you could wear tights or socks that finish just above the boot? I do think the more you wear them the more they relax and the less of a problem this is though :)

The Nicia looks nicer without the collar. Also, just a personal preference, but a simple white base layer (like the Uniqlo heattech l/s scoopneck) would look nice with the dress too. I think the green dress does look a bit like a children's dress. I've seen it on other people and thought the exact same thing. I think it's to do with the length (I think it would be more flattering and mature if slightly longer) and the combination of the colour and the triangular shape makes it look a bit like a Christmas tree costume. I also think it looks off on a lot of people because its so stiff, while a lot of people who shop at Sezane usually go for more feminine and soft pieces

Ah, the Martin crop trousers 🥲 I have tried both the brown gingham and the black gingham, and I absolutely adore both patterns, but alas I had to concede in the end they were not made for my body shape. Still on the hunt for a nice gingham trouser that fits curves. Edit: I like the new style with minimal cutting and more just long form talking to camera!
