Looked like it would be pretty warm, but I'm curious how dry it will be when it rains. is this building technique based on conventional practice or was this something you came up with on your own?

I do not think you are in the Wilderness. You backed up a dump truck to start the video, At times I heard what sounded like a Dirt Bike or a Chainsaw. Plus I am wondering why you went through all the trouble to do exact measurements, then end up putting Straw on the sides and the Roof. I do not think that the straw is Waterproof. Great Video! Still trying to make sense of your actions.
