Your geography doesn’t travel much below the “Ohio Valley. Just south of there is the “Tennessee Valley”. It covers Tennessee, Northern Alabama, Western Kentucky. We have some pretty unique weather due to the river and mountains.

I've noticed this too. Here in Clarksville TN he often clumps us into the "Ohio Valley." We are so not close to the Ohio Valley. I've heard him call us the Mississippi River Valley once, and fair enough. But the weather in SE MO, far Southern Illinois, and W Kentucky and NW TN is it's own beast, especially in the winter. We live right on the border of where the jet stream dips typically. Most notably here in Clarksville TN. One side of town can literally get 2 inches of snow and the other side of town gets ice and sleet. The little divet on the northern border of TN, jutting into KY, is the Tennessee River and a circle 150 or so miles around that divet is going to have a unique weather pattern compared to the Ohio Valley.

Radar was able to pick up that it was snowing in Indiana, but the forecast completely missed it. It will stick around as long as the temps stay below freezing. So far, just dustings of snow for us, but it isn’t going anywhere yet.
