The reporter came out today! That guy at the dock played along nicely. Good job on the drone shots and camera angles.

I sincerely hope that you, your family, friends and many sailors didn’t suffer any loss during this terrible hurricane that has devastated so many lives in Florida, in Cuba, in Guadeloupe...

Hey guys! My wife and I are just catching up on your channel and loving it!! We are a couple years older and on the process of planning our dream as well!! Quick question (with probably a not simple answer) - how were you able to get insurance as new boaters in the middle of hurricane season??? Also, so happy the boat survived Ian with just a couple minor leaks! We started with that video then went to the beginning and are binging through all of them. Awesome job!!!

@@adventurecrews Thanks so much for the quick response Cole! We are starting to build that resume as we work up in size. I have also been boating my whole life and my wife and I know our place is "on the water" so thankful you guys weathered the storm and can't wait to continue to follow along. Cheers Mike & Kaurie

One question why not leave and sail toward Texas

Hi, I’m wondering how long it would take to go to Miami. Would you’ve been able to make it to Miami before the hurricane? Thanks!

Not sure if you guys are still in Sarasota, but if you are, let me buy you a beer, some fuel, some bait, or whatever! I will swap boat time for cash and labor if you are still close by. I live in Sarasota, work nights at UPS and dream of going sailing full time

Hey guys sorry if this question is not real clear. However why would you be required to have an Underwriter review the fact you were moving your catamaran from one Marina to another Marina???
@adventurecrews9 ай бұрын
Hey good question! When you apply for your insurance policy, you have to provide a hurricane plan and list a marina that you will be using. In this case we were at our “home marina” but wanted to move to another that we felt was a little safer and since a named storm was approaching, we did not want to do so without talking to the insurance company as we would be technically deviating from our listed hurricane policy.

My cousin’s charter sailboat he had a few years ago, he had it docked in Puerto Rico. He had a camera at the marina so he could keep a eye on it while a hurricane was hitting. He flew back home to Indiana, we watched it while the hurricane hit Puerto Rico. The sad part was we watched it sink.
