We keep our sailboat in Gulfport (FL) Marina, and we were also afraid we would be hit by Ian. We checked into a hotel Tuesday night and drove to the marina on Thursday to check out the damage. The water had receded from the marina and most boats were sitting on the bottom. We were so relieved that our boat was saved, and we feel so bad for those who lost their boats from Ian.

Maybe keep your boat in the beautiful Chesapeake bay, they never get hurricanes and you can still easily sail down to Florida and the Caribbean.
