I remember Polaris. That scout rifle is the only reason why I was able to fully unlock the Whisper before they nerfed it. Not sure why it got the rating it has, it was actually pretty solid.

Polaris is really strong right now and can do pretty damn good in pvp. It doesn't deserve that rank.

Iirc Polaris and scouts in general were pretty good during s3 when the whisper mission came out but once we got special weapons out of the heavy slot it kind of fell off. Ace was better for pvp and once you had Whisper (before the 'thin air' nerf) it was pve dps king "three crits, free clip" anyone?

I adore Polaris. I'll admit that I don't use it in NF or pvp, but I don't use scout rifles at all for that stuff either. I would've been dead in the water in so many situations without it playing though. It carried me through my first heroic lost sectors which allowed me to get lots of other exotics. When I'm playing solo and having a rough time, Polaris is my copilot.

Crimson being C-tier is wrong imo, it is a solid PVE weapon as well in situations where the boss throws tons of adds at you. The burst fire is strange granted but the heal and progressive reload means you can shred through waves of weaker enemies that might normally overwhelm you. I’m not ashamed to admit I used it to carry me through some of the more annoying solo encounters in later seasons. Plus it just looks awesome.

Only calling bullshit on Skyburner's. The shit can cause scorch AND ignition, and ruined the Shadow Legion in the Lightfall campaign, particularly the phalanxes. One hipshot to scorch in pvp + knife = instant ignition. Use it correctly with Solar 3.0 and it's god-tier.
