We recorded this video a few weeks ago, so an update on trade alert results since December - both Jan and Feb have been profitable but quiet in terms of number of trades. This is no doubt a result of the large ranges and market volatility we've seen these past few weeks. In many ways this is the value in having a system like this... it keeps your capital safe because it limits trading when the markets are wild. Considering we buy strangles often... An AI that sells premiums is super sweet. This way overall options portfolio is not too skewed to net long volatility and theta. I personally I like writing contracts more than buying them.

This is no doubt a result the fact that there is less earnings activity at this time, but primarily due market volatility we've seen these past few weeks. In many ways this is the value in having a system like this... it keeps your capital safe because it limits trading when the markets are wild. Interesting, HOWEVER does the program account for splits and dividends?

Hi Tony, when a stock splits then typically the historical data in the chart is also split at the same rate for the purposes of technical analysis. So in that case there isn't a dramatic drop in the price. In the case of dividends, when a stock goes ex-dividend, if the pattern were to be something that the A.I. felt was likely to trade sideways, then potentially it could give a signal. However the reality is that most of the drops for ex-div dates are just a few percent (i.e. the value of the dividend) so its typically not enough of a drop to register for a signal.
