Come along in a day in the life as we shop, play, and take the kittens into the back yard for the first time ever.
Welcome to Autmazing! We talk a lot about autism around here because we are a family with five kids and a mom and dad who are autistic and we believe that autism acceptance is extremely important. We also post videos daily (or almost daily), about topics that we feel are important and sometimes there's a vlog thrown in too. We think it's important to see that being autistic is just that- another way of being human. You'll get glimpses of what's going on at the moment in our lives, usually in a little town in Michigan, or in the nearby city that Paul works in.
We are a family of 7, with a Mom named Cammie and a Dad named Paul. Sadie is 15, Maggie is 13, Patrick is 10, James is 8, and Tessie is now 7!

I can't believe Sadie has started high school!!! It seems like yesterday when we were at her baby shower...time flies!!!!!!!!!! And is the robot lawn mower good?! Worth the investment? We have a tiny tiny front lawn and wonder if it's worth to look into it!

I know! It's gone by so fast! I think for a smaller lawn (as long as it isn't a steep hill) I would check out the Husqvarna robot mower. We ended up getting this one because it does a steeper incline and up to a quarter of an acre. But one of the houses down the road has the Husqvarna and it does a really good job and has been out for longer. I like the one we have but it's only been out since spring and while it gets better with each firmware update, they're still working out the bugs.

I don't know what the deal was, I had a visceral reaction to the consistency of the pink slime. I don't do slime, thought it should be like the other colours though.

Too bad the link slime was stuck all over the container. The other slime was so easy to come out I wonder what happened to that one.

It sounds like Tessie said Play Doh at 6:35. I feel like shes in her words phase. Does she still have speech therapy? Does she use her tablet to communicate at all?

She very likely did. We hear different individual words probably 1-3 times a week in total. She does have speech therapy at school, and I’ve downloaded Proloquo on just about every electronic device in the house, but she isn’t a fan. I tried pretty consistently for a few months using it to communicate and encouraging her to do so, and when I’d say something with it she’d try to put my phone away and cover my mouth.

Margaret and Maggie for short. However I somehow managed to pick up the accent that my mom got from my grandpa from North Dakota and so all my -ag’s come out as -eg’s. With a real effort I can now say ag the way most people do, but usually I just say it the way I always have. Bag is usually the most confusing to people.
