I have born in Coimbatore, and witnessing the rapid changes. and feel proud of it. According to my view, most of the city roads are occupied illegally and covered by constructions. Even the National Highways are illegally occupied and made dangerously narrowed. It is the main reason for traffic jam during the peak hours. The Sakthi road is the best example to it, it is unlawfully occupied near Ganapathy area and the wide highway looks like a narrow village road at some portions of the road, maximum numbers of accidents occurred here. The people are facing the problems daily but the occupiers are enjoying huge rent and monitory benefits for long years. The government should take immediate action to remove the illegal occupations without further delay and do the best to save our people.
