It has nothing to do with prices since the players don’t control prices. The reason is that CC is a much nicer person. She keeps her head down and works hard and would never let her ego do the talking. CC would never put another player down because of jealousy either. I really hope Aja grows up and gets to becoming a good embassadore for basketball.

Caitlin's jersey retirement relates directly to her achievements playing for Iowa Hawkeyes. Aja's being honoured for her achievement as a WNBA MVP. Aja's not even a unanimous record holder in USC. Aliyah Boston currently holds more basketball records than Aja at USC. Aja does not touch USC fans, current and past.

Why did they wait 6 years to retire A'ja Wilson's jersey? I guess USC's Committee had an extremely long debate. USC should have done it when A'ja won her first WNBA MVP.

This is the retirement of jersey numbers from their college careers. Iowa fans can support CC if they want and South Carolina fans can support AW if the want. How many fans choose to attend these events is up to the fans and not the players. CC's event was announced long before AW's event and being a college event there is no connection to the WNBA and the events were not coordinated by the WNBA. I feel that CC had a better and more exciting college career but I am from California and will not attend either event. If there is a video of CC's event I may have a look at it. AW has become a whiny crybaby and I will not watch her pity party on video if anyone tapes it. There is no crying in professional sports at least not for winners.

2024 could have been so different, for all. All we have listened to all year from aja is her whining and crying cause things didn’t go her way. CC winning all the accolades drove aja and others crazy, like bat shit crazy. CC came into the W knowing it was going to be challenging but the level of pure hatred towards her, was frightening. CC had to get personal security. I can’t believe the treatment CC got from mainly black players, some coaches and owners, nike, the refs, and even the W. These are grown @$$ women, that are acting like entitled, spoiled teenagers. I’m hoping 2025 will be a great year for everyone.

This has everything to do with style of play and personalities which Wilson's is not receptive to the public , yes Wilson is a great payer you don't win MVP by being a slouch , but from what I have seen Wilson has a narcissistic personality everything has to be about her and jealous of anybody that my intrude in her domain and Clark is the opposite and people tent to gravitate to Clark outgoing , humble and respectful of the game .
