Caitlin Clark spent the 1st half of 2024 setting Women's College Basketball on fire and followed on setting the WNBA on fire in the 2nd half of the year. She also found time to put the LPGA on the map. Therefore, according to Sheila Johnson's feeble logic, all of the WNBA, WCB and the LPGA should share centre stage on the front cover of Time magazine.

CC is young and will develop her skills. What she has is passion and personality. She also keeps herself above the chaos in public. How CC is different than AR is that basketball is her primary focus. CC dabbles in outside activities but her passion and heart is basketball. The same can’t be said for AR. From a non-follower (not a hater) it feels as if AR is more focused on becoming a media personality. Data speaks. It says it all. If a player is as good as or better than, come to see me too, she’s not the only one, it's the whole league, then show me the data. Until then Catlin Clark rules. Additionally, she has a business and media acumen that many folks in sports lack. There too this young lady will have a good deal of influence. You are correct… she is the WNBA’s Golden Goose for this moment because it will eventually be someone else with a different skill set. Everyone at the executive level who doesn't know how to capitalize on this moment in history needs to be replaced. Just my opinion. 👵🏻💕⛹️🏼♀️🏀

I have known all fours MJ, Tiger, Magic, Bird yet I knew more about Magic than Bird by the way I am Caucasian yet growing up I heard way more about Magic than Bird. If Bird was the Magic equivalent how do you explain that? I will explain it for you since I live in Canada where race is not so much of a focus we heard of who was the best NBA player at the time and that was Magic because the player that gets world renowned are the dominant player. Did Magic and Bird rivalry was a major one? Of course it was. But did Magic outshine Bird in his world presence of the basketball world. Yes he did.

Last year i watched the WNBA a lot for the first time. Is the product great? No. Is it heading in the right direction? Yes. Was watching Caitlyn play a much better experience than watching any other player? Yes. Crap like this from the Mystics owner is going to turn off a lot of people who may have wanted to start watching. This is the problem with the far left, everyone is put on the oppression totem pole. Straight white women are only one step below straight white men so that pisses the lefties off that a straight white women is the most exciting thing to ever happen to the league.

I would suggest never bringing up racism in the context of sports. Reese is great at gaslighting, if she didnt taunt clark to become the villian we wouldn't really how known who she was coming out of college. Her entire ethos is tied to clark in a big way. After the Kamala interview i struggle to give you a second change on anything. I hear that Reese isn't popular because of racism i am just going to tune out. That has nothing to do with it, reese isn't as popular because her game is crap. You put it nicely, I will say it bluntly 99.9% of the women in the league wouldn't make a boys Varsity squad at the high school level. That makes it hard to watch. I can pay 5 bucks at the highschools (I live in a town of 125k with maybe 75k surrounding) and see the same or better basketball than going to the WNBA games (I have season tickets to the W). The level drop off in college of a top 5 team and everyone else is soo large that it transitions into the W. The difference between 3/4 and the 5th seed is night and day; to the point where anyone below 5 doesn't have a punchers chance. That isn't as true for men. The W should be investing in girls basketball around the country to start developing more talent. Say tomorrow the league can support 15 teams, there isn't enough raw talent in the U.S. to feed those teams (and not enough money to get European players to come over). Clark is your poster child that should be up at every school as a you can be great at basketball. She paves the way then girls find out about Wilson, S.I, B-Stew and others.

Everybody knows the reason for the ratings is due to the drama that came from Clark and Reese . It was fueled by hate, racism towards Reese. . I couldn’t go into a chat without people attacking one or the other both Clark and Reese. If it wasn’t for the hate Reese drew with Clark’s fans the ratings would not have been so high . Hell I’m guilty of it myself. Never watched a WNBA season but because of all the hype in the news I had to see what was happening. The good thing is that yes everyone is benefiting from the increase in sells and views . But to say Clark is the reason by herself is not fair because Both Reese and Clark deserve their flowers . What’s sad is that all this overshadows the leagues best players and it ain’t these two ladies. I’m a fan of CC and has admired how she has handled everything. It’s the media I hate

He does nothing but complain and no matter how many players he gets, it's never enough.
