its very different feel with the headgrear,they dont even defend the head which doesnt translate at all without it.For self defense its good because there is no defense,its all about attacking and you get used to that real intensity.

@@bryce4228 it makes sense for the safety of the fighters. Its a sport that is about as aggressive as it can get while still being relatively safe. You want all out blood and guts do mma.

@@bryce4228 The headgear is so that they can practice attacking the face and taking blows to it without danger, for example in Kyokushin karate there is a lot of full contact sparring, but only to the body - they never get used to the sensation of being hit in the face, nor do they bother to learn to protect it. Kudo addresses these problems

Probably looks like that but that’s because if they put their defenders up they will end up on the floor. Kudo is literally judo and karate how ar e you gonna allow them to be vulnerable to getting their shit rocked on the floor
