This is the first SW animation i’ve watched in a longggg time. Extremely captivating and better than anything LucasFilm has produced in a very long while. This would be a sick short film like the old Star Wars Republic trailers, it’s definitely on par with them! 2nd video added to the 2023 action recap 🙌

Thanks a lot! I had a bunch of lore planned up for this animation, but theres's quite a bit of stuff I didn't end up doing. Luke was supposed to get pushed into the darkside to win, and the battle was going to end up outside, where there would be more stormtroopers surrounding the base and executing prisoners. Luke was supposed to cripple an AT-ST with the force and unleash his inner Anakin Skywalker. The Inquisitor shown survived the galactic civil war by going into hiding shortly after the fall of the Inquisitorius program, and has been waiting in the shadows for many years waiting for a shift in power so he could fill the void and become the new ruler of the empire, or at least what's left of it. But all that stuff never ended up being shown or disclosed. Just turned into a short little lightsaber duel animation 🗿

Luke is battling with himself as much as the inquisitor. He has to live with the fact that he's the one responsible for his friends' deaths while keeping his emotions in balance 🙏

This is the first time it hit me that Luke actually killed people. In the official SW media they're always shown as just dying and then that's it, but that was just as brutal as Vader was. Good job on hitting me so hard, in a brickfilm, which I watched with the sound off! (Got to return with headphones though :D)

This was impressively animated. Just wish there was a bit of reflection at the end. Luke giving into his anger is acceptable from a narrative perspective, but it shouldn't go unremarked upon. It's always been his Achilles' heel. A character flaw that he spends his life overcoming. Just seems like you're glorifying it. That nitpick aside, this was impressively done.

Man, I was just so burnt out by the time I finished the fight scene, I just wanted the animation to end 😭😭😭 I really agree with you, and he definitely should have reflected on his actions and shown guilt for exploiting the dark side. Giving in to emotion isn't something Luke would be proud of as a Jedi, so you are quite right. Thank you for the feedback!!!

I appreciate that! As a pretty hardcore Star Wars fan myself, I'd really like to get as much stuff right as possible, but there's really only so much I can do with the resources I have & a finite amount of motivation & time to get stuff done lol. My main inspiration for animation is the music that I know will accompany the piece I'm working on. I really enjoyed the score from RotJ "A Jedi's Fury," & I wanted to incorporate that song into an animation. That's where my inspiration for this brickfilm came from 😃

Andor and the previous Mandalorian seasons have been good in my opinion. I've also been enjoying Ahsoka. Rogue One was also a phenomenal star wars film guided by Disney.

I wanted this to be the best lightsaber duel Ive done yet, so I went and found a bunch of inspiration and then got myself motivated to animate the duel of the century. It was originally supposed to be a way bigger and more drawn out lore, but lack of motivation & time hindered my abilities. It ended up just being a short little animation 👉👈

Thanks for watching! The inquisitor figure isn't really anything special, honestly. The body is just one of those imperial dudes who opperate the deathstar controls, and the head piece is from a really old set that I dont recall building. I just had the piece laying around so I decided to use it 🗿
