Thank you for reintroducing aeronautical competence to KZbin R/C videos. I have logged a mere 1000 full scale hours, no more than half of them IFR, but I still feel I have come home when I watch your videos. Keep it up, our hobby needs it.

the lubricant / grease in the retract´s freez then it´s its sub zero Celsius, use break cleaning spray to get rid of it, just spray in to the retract housing. let it dry and then apply silicone spray. works very well if you are a winter flyer that fly on the ice or a plowed airfield.

Good job on your first flights. You could take note of your AS3X gain settings, then after using your gain knob set for no oscillation in the yaw axis select capture gains on landing. Then set yaw to fixed gains and reset your roll and pitch back to the original settings and do accordingly for them on the next flight.

I only recently discovered this channel, but I’ve got to say you guys easily have the best RC Aviation content on KZbin. I really love that you guys base your RC techniques and teachings on the full scale tried-and-true stuff and not “Oh I guess I’ll pray it actually takes off into the wind this time”. And of course the jokes and roasts are great (especially when you mentioned UND 😂). Super refreshing to have found a voice with character in the community. Anyways just wanted to say keep doing what you’re doing.

My first FMS plane. Wish I had never bought it. Because of the purchase, I bought the FMS Rafale. Then their Bae Hawk. And then the Futura v3. Then the Arctic Camo a-10. Then another Futura and a Bae Hawk. (Made them 8s) All great jets.
@Bikes_N_Adventure Жыл бұрын
The Bae Hawk high performance has to be my favorite plane of all time! Clocked in at 126mph, not to mention keeping things low throttle an 8+ min flight time!

@@Bikes_N_Adventure FMS, in my opinion is making the best planes. I’m still using Spektrum receivers, will never enjoy anything more than flying the Flightline P-38 and the Freewing F-22, but the FMS Bae Hawk, Futura v3 and the 1700 a-10 are the jets that go to the field every trip.

So glad to see this outstanding plane get some love. I think it flies fantastic off my grass runway, even when its cold, long, and wet winter stuff. I love the flight envelope, though thats not unexpected in a delta'ish design. The gear really are that good, which I think is the true boner killer on most planes. I'm looking forward to lots of flights with mine this summer. Its got so much plastic I am scared flying in freezing weather is asking for problems.

Great vidio BUT i have a question: is it called airspeed when ur starting and still tuching the ground?
@TailHeavyProductions Жыл бұрын
Yep - in addition to ground speed and other forms of speed as well without getting too detailed. Think of it from the perspective of a full-scale plane. On the takeoff roll while still on the ground, your airspeed indicator rises before you take off as you accelerate. Then, once you reach a pre-determined "rotation" airspeed on the ground, you begin flying after gently introducing back pressure (aka up elevator) to become airborne. Hope this makes sense. -Zach

Dang - a pig on a 4s? I’ve accidentally thrown a 3S into it and it could barely do high alpha. Not sure what exactly you mean by pig. Sorry to hear you disagree with our thoughts! That thing is our go to for messing around with high alpha on the deck. It definitely excels the most in that flight condition out of anything else we’ve flown in the EDF side of the hobby. 👍
