few weeks ago there were only 2 grandmaster Jinx OTPs, they were both the only people in the top 50+ to rush bork so idk (on KR btw), also seems strange for him to suggest that Runaans is not the off-pick from Phantom dancer as if IE into PD, into MR/LDR into RH/RFC hasnt been the top jinx build lately

I've only ever considered botrk on Jinx as a last item after I have 100% crit. It's great for melting the 10K HP top laner in late game. As a first item, I'm not sure what the hell they were thinking.

Love the arguments and agree heavily with the opinions. Only thing I will say is that Mortal Reminder is better than LDR now in 99% of situations. Especially on Jinx. LDR gives 10 extra AD, with crit, this turns LDRs 10 AD advantage to 22.5 PreMitigation DMG value. The grievous wounds, especially on AOE champions like Jinx, in most cases will significantly out damage the 22.5 PREMITIGATION dmg (basically 10 dmg on squishies (~100armour) and even less on tankier champs). Super important to note that just taking into account the health regen decrease on most champions almost makes up for the difference in premitigation dmg in a standard fight.

It's a losing battle. Most people don't know how to think for themselves (or they are new to the game or they don't really care that much about the game) in order to itemize / choose runes so they turn to sites with builds or videos with newest builds (which mostly take in account the newest trend). Most of the time the hype for these builds disappears after 1 or 2 patches but on rare occasions some trend sticks around and even if it's not good and it can be mathematically proven that there are better options, people will either ignore you or just ego saying that they know better. It's one of the reasons i find it hard to play the game these days because i get really really tilted when i see what people are building on other champions as well and there's not much i can do about it.

What's really funny is that in, EVERY situation I didn't do damage rushing IE, I was literally 2+ levels behind due to fundamental errors (did you know you can make those even if you build perfectly for the situation? crazy, right?) and like an entire item down or something. Nobody thinks those are the issue though, they'd only look at that data if I'd built the things they wanted me to! Then you have tons of content creators be all like "WOW LOOK AT HOW MUCH DAMAGE I CAN DO TO THAT SQUISHY TARGET FOUR LEVELS DOWN!!! THAT HAS TO BE BECAUSE OF THIS BONUS AD AND ATTACK SPEED INSTEAD OF A DIFFERENT ITEM'S BONUS AD AND ATTACK SPEED, RIGHT??"

lord doms by itself is better than any lethality item, even against targets with only like 70 to 100 armor, which is basically every champion in the entire game at level 18 with no items. and it has crit as well. back when LDR had no crit yet was the only time where you didnt have to buy it 100% of the time, but now that it has crit you always have to buy it, its not really a choice anymore, if you dont buy it you will deal less damage, simple as that. the nice thing about LDR is that it scales with your opponents armor, so either they dont buy armor and you one shot them, or they do buy armor and you still one shot them, thats why you have to buy it.

I thought Bork made sense because it gives you a percentage of the enemy's health so if they're tankier it helps you

I'm going to be honest...I used to build BoRK as a 5th item many seasons ago because Hurricane applies the on-hit effect and it was very good against multiple high HP champs. I think that's still valid, as a 4th or 5th item. (Bloodthirster is still better right now though, imo.) BoRK first? Someone is on drugs. The fact that PD is still the most popular second item? Everyone is on drugs. Building BoRK without any armour pen as an "Anti-tank" item? Criminal. The thing literally does physical damage and on top of that, it does CURRENT %HP damage, which means the more you hit someone, the less damage it does. You'll kill yourself on a Frozen Heart + Thornmail build with this item core. I don't know. I've had this argument about BoRK with SO many people who don't understand that BoRK is Anti-HP, not Anti-Tank. People generally just can't itemize. Banger thumbnail btw. Free content haha.

Maybe this bork build was to counter the warmog rush meta, but since it got nerfed I dont think ppl will run this anymore. I also dont think building %hp dmg has more value than crit on jinx... at least not this early in the game

Toni i understand why u defend Hurricane so bad on Jinx. This item really fits her. But IMO itemization on Jinx like on every other champion depends on enemy team. Your Crit build is best option VS tanks/ armor builders and at least 2 meeles in enemy team because that's the time when u can really use Hurricane power. I would consider engagers also, but i will be testing that. I personally better like Lethality build when there is no tanks or 1/armor builders or only 1/2 meele in enemy team, because u will have less chance to occur an occasion to use full potential of Hurricane and Lethality gives u more vs squishes + u have lethality AND LDR in this Korean lethality build. I'm Jinx OTP also, Diamond 4 EUEN, emerald IV last month, Plat 2 Months ago, Gold 3 months ago and we can say i started form that place, but i started Iron few years ago (maybe at master your crit build shines even more, i'll see when i get there) and i do not feel like that;s a roof for me. Last 20 games are 65%WR, 54.7% WR overall in this split and it will go higher, played 259 games as jinx this season split, and over 900 games last split, have 46 mastery lvl and i played Jinx only for over 1159 games and still going on - this is my best champ i could imagine. We can talk about that if u want, i got better at game thanks to you and i will be happy to grow even more :D

I agree that on every champion, the ideal build changes from game to game, and it's very hard to know exactly which build is good in which game. That's why I like using the build that works in most games so I can build consistency in my playstyle and gameplay! Also, this helps me not overthink things and focus on what is actually more important than the build we use: how to actually play the game!

@@Tonirel i considered few things and i should also say, that ur crit build is far more better for 5v5 fights and long games where hypercarry like jinx shines unless u have 5 squishies and they do not stuck on top of themelves, but it is still really good in late vs them. Korean lethality build is also good, but that's cheezy build where u need to end game in 25 minutes or lower. It also getting worse more then crit the higher rank u play, because it should be harder to cheez someone than just play the game enough well.

Hey, i dont play jinx alot but this video got me curious, why should you build LDR instead of Mortal Reminder? The difference is 10 AD but it gets the same armor pen and a anti healing passive on top, wouldnt that be better?

Just depends on the game doesn't it. Some (rare) games you don't need anti heal so obviously LDR is better. Other times your team already has splash antiheal so you might not need to buy it.

I have also to confirm that IE-runaans and LDR is a very good item set on jinx. But i wonder. What if there are no tanky champs on the enemy team. would it be viable to go kraken first? as far as stats go. Lategame where everyone has 100+ armor by base stats. LDR is always worth.
