Thanks Nik! Learn so much from your videos. Think we all have those times when it seems that everything pops up all at the same time. It drives me crazy! Love your laidback style, especially after watching other KZbinrs. I’ve been speeding some up and sometimes muting them to get through! Boy do I really appreciate you jumping right into the subject, not doing “shoutouts”, having annoying music, spotlighting trendy nails, blah blah blah… sorry had to vent🙈 my ADD is rearing it’s ugly head! And you do you…your way when you can. Love ya Nik! Keep up the good work. Thanks!❤😂🤣

We all have THOSE weeks 😁 Dickens is the same way... I’ve read the first chapter of the Christmas Carol at least 5 times over the years😂 I even tried starting in the middle of the book. 😏 They were written back when reading around a fire was all they had for relaxation and entertainment and they needed those few books they had to last a good long time 🔥 IMO Thanks again, Nik 💝

Funny, I can read Dickens all day but the flowery on and on love stories like Jane Austen put me to sleep. There's something for everyone. Try a different Dickens like Oliver Twist.

Okay, then. I did read Emma in May. Emma consists mainly of upper crusty people visiting each other and then gossiping about people not in the room. I also read the Scarlet Letter as delayed penance for reading only the Cliffs Notes for HS English Literature. That book is crazy [crazy] for contemporary kids. There are way too many issues and undercurrents for young readers to digest. I hardly knew how sex worked back in the sixties. Well, thanks for all the helpful hints. That’s why I still watch after all these years.🤪

Thanks so much, Nik! Is there anyway that the warping could be preemptively solved by placing the covers under something fairly heavy before assembling the book?

Sadly, this won't solve the issue. If there is warp in the boards, it will just happen once you remove the weight. =/ Great question, thanks for asking!
