This is a video taken while on board the historic steam train at the Australian Sugar Cane Railway as it travelled through the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens that are located in North Bundaberg Queensland.
The Australian Sugar Cane Railway is an all volunteer railway that operates historic steam locomotives that used to operate with in the sugar cane industry on a 2km long 610mm gauge track through the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens.
The Australian Sugar Cane Railway was founded as the Bundaberg Steam Tramway Preservation Society in 1978 to preserve and operate historic steam locomotive from the sugar cane railways of Queensland. The organisation began operating in the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens in 1988 with a 1km long railway. This line was extended in 2015 to give a total route length of 2km and now covers the entire perimeter of the botanic gardens.
The Australian Sugar Cane Railway has a collection of 610mm gauge steam locomotives. They are as follows:
BFC No 1 (Bundaberg Fowler 0-6-2T)
BFC No 3 (Bundaberg Fowler 0-4-2T)
Germany (Orenstein and Koppel 0-4-0T)
Invicta (Leeds Fowler 0-6-2T)
In addition to the steam locomotives the railway also owns a diesel locomotive known as Valdora an EM Baldwin DH unit.
The train seen in this video was hauled by BFC 3 a Bundaberg Fowler 0-4-2T steam locomotive built locally in Bundaberg in 1952 by the Bundaberg Foundry Company. The passenger carriages were built using the frames of former sugar cane wagons.
The Australian Sugar Cane Railway operates on most sundays and wednesdays throughout the year. However train operations are subject to weather conditions and can be cancelled in extreme weather.

I highly recommend going for a ride on the Australian Sugar Cane Railway if you are ever visiting the city of Bundaberg it is an excellent addition to the other attractions within the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens.
