We will start off near the TESS Orbital Observatory, which enabled us to take a slightly deeper peek into the fascinating abyss of the cosmos. With its help we will visit the environs of the dim red dwarf TOI 700 to make acquaintance of its wonderful planets potentially fit for life.
After that we will go to the Teegarden’s Star to observe the most Earth-like planet of all those discovered by now. Next in line is the bizarre world of Gliese 1214 b, which falls into the exceptionally rare category of ocean planets.
Then we will reach two representatives of the most furtive and mysterious celestial objects - rogue planets. Deprived of a parent star’s warmth, they roam the depths of space for billions of years, avoiding anyone’s curious glance. After these dark and cold worlds we will see a selection of various space objects which have one thing in common - their incredibly lethal properties. Extreme temperatures, harmful radiation and a harsh environment - with all these combined, these planets’ are truly horrifying.

@@heidetermeg427 @Hei Det Er Meg wayyyy ahead of ya, man! 😅 I'm glad to SEA he's finally getting the level of recognition he deserves (I promise no more terrible puns, too)! SEA, Kosmo, PBS Space Time, and Cool Worlds are the absolute BEST channels on here, with honorable mention going to Kyle Hill and ReYOUniverse, too. I only exclude the last two from The Big Four because Kyle Hill has a very wide & diverse focus on his videos & ReYOUniverse seems to deal quite a lot in hypothetical situations (i.e. what if this happened, etc.). That's not to suggest at ALL that they both don't have a great deal of content on par or superior to the rest, they just don't have quite a tight enough focus on astrophysics like the others do, so while that's the one reason I personally would put them towards the end of my recommendations, I would still absolutely nonetheless recommend them without a second thought!

Your channel is something very very special. Top 3 on KZbin for this type of programming in my opinion. It boggles my mind almost as much as the information you provide in the shows, how you only have half a million subscriber’s. I feel like I’m getting in early on a community with the potential to reach 10 million subscribers or more. Just fantastic ground breaking work you’re doing here my friend. At that point, we get to the super interesting question: what separates life from non-living matter? At a basic level, nothing really; life is just a series of very interesting chemical reactions. OFC, there are criteria for considering something alive, but even those aren't perfect.

@@garyk1334Can’t argue with that, I’m sure theres one or two people who actually believe in Jedi or Pastafarianism. I prefer cosmology, astrology and dare I say horoscopes over religion any second of any day though. Reality sucks, its not easy dealing with it, let people have their things as long as they aren’t forcing it on others or leads to harm. I like to believe myself to be grounded in logic and don’t actually believe much of anything beyond the fun thought of it, but entertain the thought living past and future lives in our current reality, akin to living through ancestors via a shared conscious…just you’re you now but have the possibility of perhaps via a brain injury remembering 1000 years earlier and personally having to re-adapt.

I tend to put on Kosmo videos as a party trick - and it has a 100% success rate. You might think space is boring, but wait till the mention of a "black heul" and watch your friends' reaction. It’s interesting to note that there are some discrepancies in classification of wandering space planets, rouge, planemo, or not quite a brown dwarf. These objects potentially could yield the mother load of discovery just as Teagarden, Gliese, or Trappist exoplanets prove to be awesomely promising for viable habitable biome’s. The microbes most likely aren’t the only forms of extraterrestrial life somewhere out there and in all actuality it’s only a matter of time until a point in space exploration opens up something truly beneficial to humanity, maybe not soon or maybe not later but scientific possibilities are paramount to a self aware, sentient understanding.

You made a mistake. The planet Poltergeist does not lie in the same planetary system as 55 Cancri A. Poltergeist is described as orbiting a pulsar, not the star 55 Cancri A. The 55 Cancri planetary system, which includes planets like 55 Cancri e, is discussed separately from the system containing Poltergeist. The planets in the Poltergeist system are named Draugr, Poltergeist, and Phobetor, and they orbit a pulsar, not the star 55 Cancri A. So, Poltergeist is part of a different planetary system, one centered around a pulsar rather than the Sun-like star 55 Cancri A. The two planetary systems are distinct and not the same.
