I used to live in Hebden and always wondered about those terraces. You also went past my old house in one of your videos (opposite the old Walkleys clogs). I’m in Ireland now but I’m actually coming back and visiting Hebden tomorrow for a week. Maybe I’ll spot you on one of your adventures!

Have a lovely return visit. Yeah...shout if you see me 😊. Is that the row next to the canal where you lived. My mums relations lived on the next row towards Mytholmroyd around the 60s. Have fun 😁

Unfortunately the old clog factory got burned down a few year ago I watched it from nab quarrie, was very convenient for some ppl

@elwolf8536 yes my sister sent me pictures. They were trying to develop that land for ages but kept getting knocked back. I always said it would ‘conveniently’ burn down one day.

Mum lived in Washer Lane as a child. She said her Grandfather was a mason here. She got the keys and took my brother sister and up there in the late 1960`s I have photos of us standing on that first viewing terrace. Climbed all those step Now living in Dorset. Would have loved to have seen Wainhouse terrace restored

Oh wow that's blòody high 😂 . The abandoned terraces are cool I've not seen those before, maybe Calderdale might be cleaning them up after cutting brambles away .. cool video 👍

Great video 👍 we are hoping to go in a few weeks and do some filming ourselves there. Those stairs go on and on I'm not best with heights so will have to see about going to top although the views are amazing.

Good lord that is a tall structure. It would be good if the community could restore those terraces. I hate seeing old buildings go to ruin unnecessarily.

Thanks for the video, Matt. Just a couple of observations. There looks to be a lot of Nov. 5th bonfire material with those brambles. Secondly, I bet you were praying not to have to pass anyone going up and down those stairs.😊

Cheers. Yeah, it's good they tidied up a bit....but why leave it lying about?? And, yes,....half way down down and someone running up to the top. Extraordinary 😉
