I just looked up the 0-60 on both. If it was a model 3 performance, it could do 3.5 seconds. The gt3 rs can do 3.0. The Tesla still does really well for a moderately priced sedan.

People need to agree on something. Electric cars are fast ash. Saying “put it on the track” is irrelevant, the gt3 rs is a two seater 200k race car. The model 3 however, is a 50k family sedan with 5 seats (not mentioning the fact that it is not the most powerful Tesla model. That car beating the Porsche is impressive, and I don’t care what you say, it is. The gt3 rs is still amazing and has tons of cool stuff.

They handle way better than most people realize. Super low center of gravity and good suspension layout, plus a super stiff chassis. It depends on the trim/tires though, the base models don't handle great because they have eco LRR tires.

Ive been to the Chicago superchargers. Hundreds of charger Ive been to in the US and Canada, the worst maintained ones Ive ever seen were in Chicago. I have also seen 1 offline in Iowa because a Ford driver intentionally hit it. His truck died as he pulled off because he broke his rear axel. Tesla had 7 others at that location. Salty gas owners parking in or damaging EV chargers is basically the same as climate activists blocking roads. Causing people who did nothing wrong to suffer while virtue signaling to your cult.

It's a family sedan. Very little maintenance and charging costs while having a lot of space. It's pretty good at road tripping. The 15-20 minutes of charging is enough to relax a little and get a coffee after hours of driving.

How most EV owners operate is exactly like that, "HA I can go faster in a straight line than you, your car sucks!" as they pay 60k for a new battery (Hyundai Ioniq), have horrendous panel gaps and general build quality (many different EV makers) and treat their vehicles like iPhones thinking they're supposed to be discarded after a decade. With my last job I would have to drive 35 mi to get there in 35 mi to get home. Each way would be about 32 mi of freeway. Halfway through my drive each way there would be a few intersections. Anytime I pass the Tesla coming up to a light that was turning red I'd frustrated because I knew as soon as I like turns green they're going to go 0 to 60 in like 2 seconds while my ass is trying to get there in like 5 or 6 😂 and of course it was always one lane after these lights so I'd be stuck behind them until opens back up or until then you're section has a green light and I can zoom by them. Straight line speed is only one factor in proper circuit racing. A Model S plaid actually raced a GT3 RS on a road configuration of an oval. The Model S was stripped down to its bare bones and still couldn’t take a 20 degree turn at more that 15 miles per hour 😂😂😂
