My husband says that they’re just repeating phrases they know, but how does he explain when they say “where’s the baybees” while looking for the baybees? Or “no! Yes!” And many more times they say their words appropriately. They’re smarter than people give them credit for!

Your channel has helped me learn about parrot behavior, So much so that I can now interact safely with a cockatoo I care for. Cockatoos don't talk as much, but I'm trying to teach him to say "I'm so handsome" just like your little penguin does 🥰🥰

@@akramsalim77 make sure you take care of your duties, spend plenty of time with your mom, and THEN spend time with your birds, online or in person. Maybe even share your birds with her..explain to her what you love about them and share the videos with her. She will love it, I promise (I’m a mom, too, so I know these things!) You have no control over how she reacts to anything, but you do have control over your actions...and if you include her in your love for your parrots, I guarantee she will be so happy! At least I hope she will be! Good luck, Abu, and keep up the birblove! ❤️

The older green and grey baby is from our surrenders but the other 5 belong to Ozzies Nest. I just rear, wean and tame for her.

If it’s true, it’s SO sad!! I’ve seen a few videos of a beautiful mustache parakeet named Ozzie and I assume that’s him. 😭😢

@@kookoothebirdgirl1 Yes Ozzie passed away recently 🥺. He passed away the day before mothers day when I had her babies. Originally her vacation was scheduled a couple months ago and he was supposed to stay with me and the babies but her brother got Covid and they had to reschedule the trip. The lady that owned Ozzie is a great friend of mine and lives about 20 minutes from us. She is a breeder of many species of birds but she got Ozzie before she got started with that and she weaned him from about 5 weeks old, so she had him for over 13 years. So I'm going to go back in time to explain... Back in 2017 Dunkin and my daughter had a video that I had shared and it went viral. I got many offers to set a contract with it. I eventually signed on with an agent and went on to work with this agent and sign other contracts. Fast forward in time... I was scrolling through Facebook and stumbled across my friends video on her personal account. It was Ozzie saying "He was gonna feed the babies" He gave them kisses and so forth. So I messaged her and told her how adorable it was and mentioned it had potential to go viral. I asked her if I could send the video to my agent to possibly be signed and she could get her own contract. She agreed. Well it was a success. She was struggling to keep up with her social media as people found out and sent friends request and asked to see more. So she asked if I'd help her create a Facebook account for this new page to post videos to. She came up with the name "Ozzies Nest" because it features him but Nest because she was a breeder. It took off from there. She asked if I'd then be her account manager with pay and I kinda giggled. I told her I'd help her set up and show her the ropes but I wouldn't accept pay. After all I'm her friend, I was happy to help her build her new project up. With all that being explained.. I have been hand feeding all the babies anytime she goes on vacation for 3 years. All the other birds stay at her house with someone taking care of them. The reason for that is because I have to stay home to take care of my own flock and babies are easier to tote over to my house for me to hand fed and stay with me while she's gone. I won't get into what happened with Ozzie because it's her story to tell but there will be another update to the Ozzies Nest page soon in regards to what happened. She is still grieving every day and I'm sure for a long time to come but is handling things as best she can. Out of the 20 babies I was watching 15 went back with her and 5 stayed with me, the Indian Ringnecks. She leaves them with me because she knows I have the time and experience to make sure once fully weaned they are completely socialized and healthy.

You should definitely (I’m sure you already are) look into making your story into a television show, of some sort! Is your agent helping you to do this? With all the success of your social media channels, I’m sure you’d attract a huge audience! And you could have people like the Ozzie’s Nest host on the show as a guest or even a co-host. Just a thought...and yes, how very heartbreaking it is to hear of the sweet Ozzie’s passing. I will send her a ton of love and condolences. ❤️😭 And to think it all started with the Rosie/Dunkin’s kiss fest video! God has seen to it to pay you in good karma for all your hard work, it seems!
