We had a calico cat with a similar injury of that of mama cat in the video... My mother found her as a kitten not long before my younger sister had died and that cat became her best companion. Serena learned to live with that injury and lived with us for 13 years... 🐱💖

Vitamins. Also if their tums feel out of sorts, the roughage helps them vomit the offending stuff. But mostly vitamins. When they kill a mouse, they eat the stomach contents first. That's why they eat grass

My cat appeared to eat grass on the lawn in the back garden. I don't think she was eating it but directing the blades of grass to the back of her throat so she could throw up hair balls. I used find the hair balls on the lawn in the same place. As for a street cat eating grass it may be related to hunger. If people are greatly hungry I heard they will eat even dirt. My cat was always well fed so there was no reason for her to eat grass. In times of hunger we can eat grass as long as their are no chemicals like fertilizer on it. We can also eat dandelion leaves in a salad I've seen them for sale at the grocery store.
