This wasn't made clear in the Anime, but the gloves Jinwoo got from a knight earlier before fighting Igris. They came with a bonus effect to nullify all damage dealt to Jinwoo's hand. That was why he was able to catch Igris's sword (and also why his hand was glowing, to show his glove equipped).
