Korean weddings have two ceremonies. One that is in the hall, and later, they go to a separate room to have a traditional ceremony with just family and close friends.

It's a wedding gift, not to pay their entrance (although I guess you could see it that way)

@BluePetalsss I don't think you need to learn Korean in order to marry him. If you love him and you're really committed to him then do it if your heart says so. Don't let you not being able to speak Korean or not knowing their ways of marriage stop you from marrying a guy you love.

@BluePetalsss that'll take forever. Take classes and use it with him. Maybe 4 years you'll know it, 2 if you use it all the time (immersion). Good luck!

It's nice but is it always that guests pay for their meal? aren't they invited? I mean, the people who made the wedding would have estimated number of guests and pay for each one...
