Where I live it takes about 35 to 50 gallons of diesel to cut bring out of the woods chip and deliver 35 to 40 tons of chips so 4.8 to 6.9 million btu and biomass at 1 million btu per ton that’s 35 to 40 million btu per load of chips. Pretty good I would say. Not to mention the fact that generally biomass is the by product of logging and is a way to use what would normally just go to waste

They use virgin wood not waste wood then is it sustainable ?
