Excellent video Will. Some fantastic images, especially the last one. I love the movement in the material and the nice dark blacks. Great to see you are back on your feet.

love this type of setting, remonds me of Homer Alaska. I grew up in Alaska and miss it, I live in southern California which has a different sort of desert beauty about it.

I have seen many programmes on Alaska and definitely some of the beaches look amazing for this sort of photography, would love to go.

There is a great app called pinhole assist. It is a light meter with a built in reciprocity and a timer.

Yes, unfortunately it's not available on android 😞

It was interesting to see your results rating Fomapan 100 at EI400 and stand-developing. I'll give that a try.

It works well, I use Ilford DDX, mix ratio 1+9, agitate for 1 minute and leave to stand for 45 minutes.

Is it my imagination or does using the red filter , (emphasizing blue sky and needing higher exposures) , lead to a reduction in the apparent vignetting on these shots.I definitely see heavier vignetting on the other shots?
@WillGudgeon9 ай бұрын
yes, it will normally darken a blue sky, my one isn't as strong as others I've used in the past, normally have to add around 3 stops, with mine I only add 2. so you do get longer exposure times, but do find they add a bit of vignetting, but very much depending on light at the time

in 4x5 pinholes, you have Mia, Zero and Titan. What is the one you suggest most ?
@WillGudgeon10 ай бұрын
Also a Ondu 4x5 rise. It's a tough decision, I'm still new to the titan, but is a great camera. The Ondu rise was amazing in London over the weekend, the rise pinhole is perfect for the city. Zero image is a great module camera with the different focal length options, the Mia is again great to use, and rugged, certainly can take a few knocks. I did do a blog post covering most of these cameras which may help. www.willgudgeon.com/2024/01/best-5-large-format-pinhole-cameras-for.html?m=1

Nice! What tripod you using?
@WillGudgeon11 ай бұрын
Thank you, I am using the Artcise CS50C, this model I think has been replaced by the CS60C s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DeWn4IZ This a fairly small tripod compared to your standard tripod, but they do larger sizes like the CS80C
