To understand how female body was targeted as sites of sexual conquest, one should watch Srijit Mukherji directed Bengali movie named "Rajkahini"(2015). The film tells the story of a brothel owner named Begum Jaan , who after partition of Bengal, refuses to leave his land and business. As the story unfolds, we get to see many horrifying things happening with Begum Jaan and those women who worked as prostitutes. The film has been remade in Hindi language with the name of "Begum Jaan"(2017).

The female body was specially targeted as sites of sexual conquest..... In this context, there can be a reference to Manik Bandopadhyay's Bengali short story *_Upay_* ( The Final Solution). The protagonist of that story, Mallika, a married woman, was also targeted for sexual conquest by a man named Pramatha. However, Mallika killed Pramatha and saved herself.
