If I average at least 15 points a game and will only average 7 if I play both ways? But the only thing the fans demand are the 15 points? And you are going to pay me 10 million for playing less than 70 percent of 82 games? What will I do? Clue averaging 7 is out of the question. Look at the Bucks. Those bone heads, after winning a chip, traded D for offense. They sent the whole of their Defense to defend in Boston. The Buck's Defense is still playing. The Bucks new offense has gone fishing. That's what happens when a GM listens to people who only watch the movement of the ball.

This the NBA what im talking about. No blood no foul. Feel the vibes of 90's. And you think MJ cant average 40ppg with soft fouls todays play.

Jamal Murray at 3:50 was WRAPPED It has been years since I last saw this level of harrassement in an NBA game

Kind of surprise people shock with this defense. This is how basically Euroleague play defense.
@Jackwis7 ай бұрын
I don't watch euroleague but I don't think you have perimeter defenders as big as Timberwolves Ma Daniels is 6 foot 11 NAW and Edwards are 6 foot 5 KAT, Anderson and Reid also tall guys who can play center They play crazy defense and they are tall and contest every shot. I don't think we ever saw a team like this
@ivanott71967 ай бұрын
@Jackwis owh, euroleague do have size as well. The level of intensity is crazy. Mainly because Euroleague doesn't have as many games as the NBA which make every games and every possessions matters.

With the end of Golden State's dynasty, if the T-Wolves win the chip this year will this influence and usher in a whole new era of Defensive oriented teams like Golden State ushered in the era of volume 3pt shooting? 🤔
@DyingBreed87 ай бұрын
Not every team can do this. They even took a huge gamble playing so hard in the 2nd quarter because even the coach said they were gassing in the 2nd half. We all could see them in the third making some errors they don't usually make because of fatigue. It paid off though and if they can sweep they'll get a nice rest. In short, no. It's like the Pistons in 2004 didn't change that much except it started the big 3 wave.

@04mzwach true. However, they were the number 1 defense throughout the season without exerting as much energy as this game so it could possibly influence that sort of defensive priority to come back into the fold. Making teams focus on strong defense that "can" be called into overdrive if needed.

Golden state was top 1-3 defense always except 1 2018

You funny. Gsw built their dinasty also on their defense. They changed the game because they proof a team can win without a big man. Both on the offense and defense. And you can see that, without a good defense they can t even reach the playoffs since 3 years. Despite they still have steph klay and dg. 2 of them the best 3 point shooter of all time by far. As always nobody give enough credit to defense and how it is crucial to have a chance to win a championship

Timberwolves simply play team ball just like the Warrior dynasty played teamball. This is just the end of the superteam era.
