Cool to see someone finally make some high quality videos at COP! I grew up riding here in the early 2000s but haven't ridden here in more than 15 years. It sure has changed a lot, but awesome to see that it's still going strong.

I sent my kids to Winsport for MTB camp at the start of summer. They spent a week riding those trails and went from super timid to little shredders. Some fun to be had there but you'll definitely want to avoid going during the summer while camps are running.

Speaking of small trail systems, on the other end of calgary there is a park called fish creek. Bit of treck from the highway but it's full some really fun trails.

The park looks amazing...but don't drink water after having something hot, you need a bread or something fatty like milk to lift the acid off your taste buds. Water is the worst thing to have as it just disperses it.

The next time time you some to the UK to ride our trails. If you like hot and spicy food. You should stop off at Cannock. You should go to the Dilshad Restaurant and order the Crocodile Inferno Curry. It is 2 million Scoville. They will also try to talk you out of ordering it. You might need a day or 2 before riding Dyfi Bike Park.

I spent my season at the Horse working/biking. and I kind of regret not spending more time at CoP. @tylerpubben42166 ай бұрын
Eh, Calgary proper has around 1.4 million residents and the greater Calgary area is pushing 1.8 million. Puts it on par with places like Dallas and San Diego for city population and San Jose or Jacksonville Florida for metro population. Not a huge population but not insignificant either.
@Jarekthegamingdragon6 ай бұрын
@@tylerpubben4216 Calgary metro has 1.6 million. That's a lot smaller than dallas or san diego metro. City population itself doesn't really matter you look at metro population, especially with urban sprawl. Dallas is at 6.6 million. San Diego is at 3.2 million. San jose is EXTRA misleading because that's part of the bay area which is around 8 million. Jacksonville isn't really a place that comes to mind when I think of a major metro in Florida. It lives in the shadow of orlando and miami.

"A bike park hiding (?!) in a major city." C'mon, it's there because of the Olympics. Like any other city could boast that kind of specialized infrastructure which lends itself perfectly to adaptation into a DH bike park. I just don't get the surprise. Why not check out salt lake city and lake placid. We already know that Vancouver has great MTBing....
