I stopped doing high rise skinnies years ago as leaping over the top tube and plummeting down 4-5' to stick the landing, just wasn't worth the wear and tear on my ever decreasing amounts of cartilidge in my body! I've found that the same challenge of precision presented by riding skinnies still exists with a 2x4 laid on the floor, and there's no penalty for messing up my 56 year old skeleton.

I was working on Dimeslot the day that Beth crashed. I'm glad she's ok and that you enjoyed our trails. Next time you're back this way stop in. There's a bunch of new work and some of the older features have or are in the process of being rebuilt.
@outlandishmtb18 күн бұрын
Those are my favourite trails from my trips up there. Dixie and Dimeslot have been updated with even better wood features than shown here, with more being built while I was there. That roller coaster is a rush, my first time I forgot to turn on my camera! I ended up doing it three times. There are lots of great skinnies there as well. Very much like the early days of mountain biking. Not many areas are doing wood features like this. I can't wait to get back.

I have a full face model from Bonehead Composites (The Dynamic) and not only is it feather light, you can't see the helmet when it's on, it's wind tunnel tested so there's zero wind noise (can hear everything outside, easily), and I can easily drink from a cup *through* the front of it. Not an affiliate, just a happy customer that uses theirs for riding bike instead of skydiving.

This is just my personal opinion/preference. But prefer the trade off on frame rate over image quality. Especially these days with the bit rates and sensors being so good. Even at 60 fps the image quality is still pretty dang good. Every time I see a 24 frame video it feels like stop motion for me anymore. Dont get me wrong i still enjoy them anyway, and the Loam Ranger does 24 fps better then most anyone. and paired with his narration, they are still some of the most entertaining mtb videos out there.
