Could you by any chance post the piano letters? I can't read music and it I have been wanting to play this song for years, and it would mean a lot. Thank you.

How did you nail the sounds so close to the original?
@galtem3 жыл бұрын
Thank you :-). In no particular order - time, ear, rewind, and revisions. Basically, I listen to the song parts I'm doing on loop (rewind), find a sound that's close while playing laong (strings in this case), and then just make changes til I get close -- add an octave under it or over it, add reverb, delay, EQ, whatever, and save it. Play it with the band to see if it fits, and see how it sounds thru different PA's (computer speakers, rehearsal PA, venue PA), and inevitably make changes. Sort of like writing a term paper -- you do a draft, and almost always make revisions. I'd say I nail like 10% of the songs I try the first time, the other 90% take revisions to get right ("right" meaning it sounds like the song and fit with our live band overall sound). Can be a lot of work, but it's fun work :-)
