Exactly what I needed help with! Thank you. Just wanted to ask how these analysis points would link to evaluation. I feel as though all my points seem to end in higher/lower sales, increased/decreased revenue!

Hi, could you tell me if its okay to mention points like the ones explained (e.g. Labour turnover. price elasticity) but also say that these would lead to more revenue and profit? So linking back to the standard revenue and profit.

Hi there. Great video by the way! Just a quick question. In the last part of the video where examples of analysis are answering the question, is the last paragraph an example of analysis or evaluation? If analysis, what evaluation point could you give after that?
@TakingTheBiz7 жыл бұрын
You're right - the last bit is linking the analysis back to the question, showing basic evaluation. You'd then demonstrate greater evaluation in the overall conclusion if you were answering a long answer question

Hi please would you be able to reply and show how to put marketing budgets into a chain of analytical impacts
@TakingTheBiz7 жыл бұрын
What is the question you are attempting to answer?
@Trizzzy7 жыл бұрын
TakingTheBiz, I have no question im actually trying to answer. Im just confused on how you would incorporate marketing budgets into a generic chain of analysis
@TakingTheBiz7 жыл бұрын
OK. Well imagine you were answering a question on the benefits of expansion to an organisation. One of the points you might make is that the business may be able to increase its output, potentially increasing its sales revenue, which may lead to the organisation generating higher profits. One of the uses of these greater profits is that it could be retained in the business rather than distributed to shareholders and could be used to increase the firm's marketing budgets. Greater marketing budgets may allow the firm to launch extension strategies or target new market segments. Hope that helps a little.
@ollierobinson16807 жыл бұрын
But surely all these decisions and consequences are ultimately made to increase profit and revenue. Surely that's the ultimate goal of a business to make money and as much of it as possible. All of those impacts on marketing are surely just strategies to increase the money made?
@TakingTheBiz7 жыл бұрын
You're correct, profit may well be the ultimate goal of marketing activities, but when analysing in an exam answer, it may be that you are able to explain the reasons why an increase in profit may occur almost like a chain of events, such as: by lowering the price, it may increase the sales volume. This increases market share. Therefore, the firm can negotiate greater economies of scale. This increases the added value of each sale, which might lead to greater profits for the firm. Greater profits might mean share holders are rewarded with higher dividends. An examiner would award more marks for explaining the chain of events rather than just jumping straight to stating that lowering prices might mean more profit. Hope that explanation helps.
