⁠@@jamiemccollin438I also missed my ox offer- A*AB (annoyingly the same ucas points and in an unrelated subject). If you have to appeal a grade and it is successful your space opens up again, the only restriction to this rule is if your appeal isn’t processed before the 9th of September, then they will look at 2024 deferral- this information is directly from my college. I’m not sure who told you that they don’t accept appeals but if that was what was holding you back from getting an appeal it’s worth looking at getting an appeal, especially if the B wasn’t consistent with your mocks/ general performance in the subject. Best of luck- hopefully things work out for us, but I can totally emphasise with feeling like you life has taken a completely different turn.

i got exactly 285 in edexcel maths as well and my advice would be to literally watch every single bicen maths video on a topic if ur confused on that certain topic and do the workbook exercises till ur confident w each topic. after that just grind past papers :))

Got 289/300 for maths. You need to stay consistent with your revision don’t try just cram it into one month and hope if you’re a B student the 1 month of work turns you into an A* student. You have to try just work over the course of the 2 years and keep going with the topics. Ensure for each topic you’re going across make sure you’re doing the harder A* questions because those are the ones that tend to differentiate between A* and A students. Do all the past papers and make sure you go over your mistakes! Most important thing is to learn from your mistakes in maths since it’s mostly practice and familiarising yourself with the application for questions. Once you’ve done the past papers attempt them again and see if you’ve missed anything out. After completion of this try do papers that aren’t official but are more difficult than the official ones. Examples of harder papers are Churchill or ZigZag papers, if you score high in those you will surely find the a level exams easy trust me!

Hi, thanks for the comment! Well at school we have 2 years to learn content for 3/4 subjects, before we take the exams. But it's definitely possible to do it in less time. Im not really too sure about how to register for the exams because my school did all of that themselves. For books, it really depends on the exam board but CGP books tend to be a good option. And for online resources, have a look at physicsandmaths tutor, they do much more than just physics and maths and have a crazy amount of resources for all subjects.
