Usually a Speedrunner will reset over something minor during the first quarter or early game, but once they get past 1/3 of a way done, they will instantly go in denial over a major time loss because "We've come this far".

Matt, when the game tells you that you're losing Molly, it probably makes her go slower because of the rubber band mechanics. The game expects you to follow her, not being faster than her, so it seems that she is slower when you're losing her so you'd be able to catch up. That's why it seems difficult to fix the situation as you just want to go fast (or not slowing down too much) but she won't move faster until she is closer to you, which makes you lose her again.

You really are a perfectionist. That's why your content is so good. I reset all the time when playing Daytona, but when the run is 3-6 min. it really doesn't sting the same way resetting a longer run. Chat may get mad because it's not entertaining to watch, but rest assured there's nothing wrong with it.

If you want to learn to land the cars, use a mod menu to launch it up in a mountain area and practice the landing until you understand the controls atleast. Also, there are multiple ways of boosting different vehicles, you should ask a GTA racing community to see if you can implement more boosts in certain vehicles, same for bike gliding, this should give you an edge.

lil tip matt: pressing a and d will make you do a barrel roll. pressing control or shift will make the nose of the car go up or down(vertical control). pressing space while doing a or d will rotate it horizontally

Matt don’t throw the sticky bomb directly at the helicopter, as it will not fly as far or as fast and makes it hard to hit, if you throw it to the right or left of the helicopter it will get thrown past the helicopter letting you have an easier time hitting it

Hey I think I may have found a good new strat. Of course you guys are professionals, but I haven’t seen recent runners use this( of course I’m probably wrong) but I’ve noticed in places such as safe houses and clothing stores, you can’t fast run, only jog. I’ve noticed that if you take cover in certain places the cover animation makes you run faster. A good place I’ve found this works is Friend request. After entering the door to Suburban, take cover by the gilets. Another area I have found that isn’t helpful is leaving suburban because if you take cover by the door, it puts you on the other side of the barrier, causing time when you have to move to the door. Of course I’m no expert so this could be a bad strat
