I disagree. Wilder as everyone knows is and always has been a one trick pony. He was terrible in the 2nd and 3rd fights as he was way over weight for both his highest recorded weights for any fight . He was gassed out after 2 or 3 rounds and fury still took ages to stop him in both. Fury drained him of energy by leaning on him all through both fights. Yes the fights were slightly exciting for the fact that both men were down multiple times but they were crap fights in terms of boxing.

It's fine to call him out on everything he says, but the plain and simple answer is that boxers often take on a persona, either the villain or the hero and I'm fairly certain that Fury would have always respected Usyk as a fighter, he was simply playing the villain and building a narrative (only to be made to look silly after).

If he has retired for real I think he will be like the opposite of a Lennox Lewis who's career was more appreciated after the fact. I think people will look back and see what a plum Wilder was and that's one of his only two noteworthy wins, Klitschko being the other. He did give some good laughs over the years and was in some good fights too but ultimately he fucked around his opponents and the boxing public too much and wasted years ducking the smoke when in fact he had a real chance of beating everyone but I refuse to give him credit for fights he never had. At times he was a damn embarrassment to the sport and let's not forget the wild boar meat scandal and all that went with that

Don't agree that the version of Fury that fought Wilder would have had a chance against Usyk. It's between Joshua and fury right? Joshuas best win is Joseph parker he is the only genuine world champ he beat who was a world champ when they fought Charles Martin won the belt via injury and Andy Ruiz was champ because he beat Joshua. Fury went to Germany and beat Klitschko who hadn't been beat for 11 years and also went to America and beat the guy who was knocking everyone out in wilder. Although fury lost against usyk it was much more competitive than the Joshua usyk fights. Not saying fury would beat Joshua but In terms of best wins furys achievements are far greater.

@joemorrison2443 Joshua also beat Klitschko and it was a far more entertaining fight than Fury vs Klitschko, that's for sure, at least Klitschko turned up ready for battle in this fight, he didn't against Fury. "What should be celebrated is what he did in the ring". No. He lied and ran for far too long. Ran his mouth and contradicted himself far too much and tried to hard to avoid any dangerous fight he could. What Fury has done in the ring is no phenomenal and I have seen plenty more courage and bravery. The man was running scared from someone who is 6 inches shorter, 50lbs lighter and has 7 inches less reach, and he spent 2 years running and close to 4 year talking about how he did want to fight him. You certainly can criticise him for what he has done in the ring. Took on no top contenders, ducked many big fights, took on a washed Chisora and Ngannou rather than serious contenders. The Usyk fights were not very close at all. Both were 8-4/9-3 fights with an extremely clear winner. It was a great fight that he had to be publicly shamed into taking as he was running and ducking for two years.

Credit to Simon for this. The only person I can think of who’s calling out Fury’s crap. Also the only one asking Frank the tough questions
@rob849312 күн бұрын
Tyson fury is an average fighter who has done well because of his size. Without this I doubt he would even be a good amateur. I’m glad he’s retired. Can’t stand the bloke. UYSK is a legend 👊👊👍👍

I am not a Simon Jordan fan at all,but he's absolutely spot on here!. The amount of garbage that has come out of Fury's mouth over the years is coming back to him, it's called karma.

Warren will probably go to his grave insisting both fights were "very close" reality is Fury won no more than 4 rounds in either fight.

I think it's fair to say that old Bricktop got owned by Jordan in this clip. Promotors like Warren and Hearn are brilliant at applying double standards, and Eubank Jr.'s observation that they are "scumbags" is very accurate.

Anybody saying fury ain’t ducking AJ this is more proof! His biggest payday is vs AJ. Hes been exposed. Styles make fights and fury can’t hang with AJ right now even after the Dubois loss
@ashleywilliams256112 күн бұрын
😂 Imagine believing Fury retired 🤦♂️ You probably believe AJ wanted the Wilder fight aswell.
@theconspiracyfactualist.14412 күн бұрын
His biggest payday was the first fight against usyk. The money hrs being offered to fight aj is a lot less. That's why the dick Turpin comment was made. The rest is just theater for the fan boys.

@@ashleywilliams2561 lol what wilder admitted turning down 120m for it?? how does that show aj didnt want it
@ashleywilliams256112 күн бұрын
@@gredax Same Wilder who admitted the 50m Aj wanted was real ? Frank Smith admitted on IFL AJ was not ready to fight Fury after 2x loss to Usyk ? Both have avoided eachother for whatever reason
@ForwardFeedback11 күн бұрын
@@ashleywilliams2561 the 50 mil being real is irrelevant when looking at the facts, like how they refused to send a contract for it until Eddie and AJ agreed to it and how Frank was talking about how he wanted it to be on BT when AJ was Sky only...whole thing was a setup. They made aan offer they knew would be turned down, and when they got sent a real offer you know what they did? FIRED Lou DiBella for getting Wilder into a meeting to talk about it....they literally fired Wilders promoter because he almost made the fight happen and Wilder's people didn't want that happening lol

The best bit about this is that John fury can no longer get any air time . As for Tyson, be blessed he boxed in an era where pantomime was more important that skills .
