i think the quadLock normal Phone ring sits flush to the case , so when closed you won't even notice it's there . The MagSafe Phone Ring seems a bit more bulky

@@samdeur yes. The old one sits in nicely flush to the case. Definitely a plus. But the ring is smaller than the new magnetic one for someone with larger fingers. Also you can place the magnetic one in any direction, when the original one has 4 set positions. But the magnetic one is heavier.. pros and cons. To be honest, since this video, I still use the carbon fibre case, with the universal Mag adapter but the original smaller ring and the phone seems so much lighter. Happy

@@aussiegeekrider thanks yes I understood the benefits of the mag ring but my goal is to have a solution that’s as flush as possible I don’t even want the mag case and paying extra but it’s the design that is more flush so it’s a must putting on the mag ring negates that point for me that is still your points for choosing the mag ring are understandable and valid for sure 👍 thankfully we have both options ;-)

How strong is the magnet? Will it stick to a fridgedoor?

Yes it does and doesn’t slide. Quite strong. Took a few group selfies recently where I’ve found a metal surface, stuck the phone there, used a 5s timer and took some nice selfies

does the quadlock universal adapter also allow to charge a samsung wireless?

I haven’t tested as I don’t have Samsung phone, but I’m sure it does work if you don’t have a case at all, but needs testing if you do intend to put a case on the phone as it depends what thickness the case is and there is no guarantee until you try. Hopefully, someone here with a Samsung can share their experience with their phone.
