Just join the Japanese only a tiny percentage of them are Christians yet they have adopted the holiday as one of there big ones and remember it's actually a pagan holiday that the Christian church put the holiday on to stop the pagan celebration in the same way they moved the Sabbath to Sunday as Sunday is for the God of the Sun which was big with Pagan Romans.

As a Lions fan old enough to remember the QB battle between Milt Plum and Karl Sweetan yesterday was pretty cool. Some of the "Ghosts Of Lion Teams Past" were trying to come out and you could tell the team was carrying an extra burden on their shoulders. Our normally good 4minute drill went bad and it was false starts and delay of games all over the place. Exorcising demons is not easy. Doing it in Minnesota was fitting. Minnesota has been a House Of Horrors for the Lions since the Bud Grant days. Congrats to MCDC and the team. You earned it and made a city able to say "I'm proud to be a Lion's fan."

Lots of love toward the Lions. They've lived in a seemingly perpetual state of incompetence and sadness but they've rallied and won the NFC North in decisive fashion. Most fun team to watch this year by far. Coming from a Hawks fan, our games are always a blast to watch as both teams seem to play their hearts out against each other. I would love to play them in the playoffs again. I hope the Lions can get past the 49ers though... (that damn juggernaut).

Bear fan here, and I was 11 years old in 1985-86, so I have seen greatness, and I have been FORCED to endure mediocrity and complete and utter failure... I want to say 3 things to ALL Lions Fans and Players: 1) First, truly... Congrats! This really is an achievment! I am thrilled for you all! Enjoy every last moment of it, because... 2) Sometimes Great Teams, even TRULY GREAT TEAMS, flame out too quickly. The 1985 Bears were SUPPOSED TO BE a Dynasty. "Supposed to be..." 3) You do NOT "need to win a Playoff game". Nope. You need to win 3 or 4, and while in the midst of this Playoff string of Victories, just do the following: Shut out the first 2 teams you play in the Playoffs! Absolutely DOMINATE the NFC Championship Game! Then, no matter who you play in the Super Bowl, just... DESTROY THEM! Make them grab their Back-up QB by Half Time! Allow them to gain NEGATIVE YARDS in the entire First Half! Have the game won by Half Time. Oh, it helps if you have an endearing, possibly overweight Rookie become an overnight sensation and true American Icon! Also, Have a Defensive End that strikes fear in LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE LEFT TACKLE IN THE NFL! Have a slipshod QB who, while not the best in the league, he WITHOUT QUESTION IS the BEST for this Team. And finally, when all else fails... Count on your Defense to lead the way. Nothing makes this Country scream louder than a Defense that completely crushes their opponents. After dismantling whichever team in the Super Bowl, apparently this ONE VICTORY will carry and entire City for DECADES! Yep... decades. Decades. Decades and decades and decades. All without ever winning another Championship. Not even when you once again have THE BEST Defense in the League, best RB in the League, and Best Kick Returner (who gifts you an early 7-0 lead in the Super Bowl)... None of it matters. Because you have that 1 Team, themat 1 Super Team that NOBODY can ever dispute! Go win the F**king Super Bowl, Lions!!!!
