For anyone watching who doesn't know... pumpkins in sims are "over-sized crops".. you buy them specially as seeds and they can only be planted on the cottage living land plots. :)

I recommend you check out which plants and things are actually useful for the olde cooking mod bc not all vegetables are needed and you might end up taking up space with useless stuff when you'd probably be better off planting lots of mushrooms and spinach. I used to have an excel sheet w that and the years all farming stuff became available, but idk what I did with it anymore. Sadly if I remember correctly potatoes aren't available yet, I know that really frustrated me. I also recommend you send them foraging often, that way you can get seeds to make porridge, flour, roasted chestnuts, and a lot of other tasty stuff that isn't gruel lol

The most common 14th-century English names are the ones that sound ordinary and boring to modern ears. They were popular then and they stayed popular so they don't sound particularly medieval to our ears now. I'm making a database of 14th-century names for my own use and so far it's about 17% Johns and about 8% Williams. However, a name that was fairly popular then and isn't any longer would be one of the Walter variations: Watte or Watekyn. Alternatively, you could go with a nickname for William that you don't hear anymore: Wilkyn, Wilmot, or Willecok. W girl names are harder. Most of the "old English" or Anglo-Saxon ones are out of favor by the 14th century. If you don't mind being old-fashioned you could go with Wulviva or Wulftrude. I might go with a different starting letter. Hellewise and Hawise are still fairly common in 1300. Figuring out how to pronounce them is a bit of a challenge though since no one agrees. I tend to think the "wise" part was probably pronounced Weece or Weeze since the name Hellewise becomes the modern Eloise however I hear people online saying Hell Wise and Hay Wise. I guess there are no wrong pronunciations if no one agrees.

Alys for a girl :) my favorite animal in your series so far is the cow 😂 I usually play with a goat to save space so im loving the cow gameplay! Here are some ideas to make selling items more immersive: 1) when starting out I usually limit myself to only being able to sell to the trader from the royalty mod 2) use one of the sales tables from the expansion packs if you have them. They require someone to work them 3) live-in-store mod my lilmssam let's you sell things without having to work a table. I hope you keep having fun playing!!
