A Few suggestions if you dont mind. 1. Love that you are giving the challenge a go 2. If you get rid of the Decor Flowers from the Dining table will enable them to place the Food there for eating with out you having to move it for them. 3. Bees Wax you can make candles from it. 4. Can I suggest if you do make a root cellar mod, that you give the sims the ability to carry items up or down the Ladder, that is the biggest problem they cannot carry anything so thats why they say NO. 5. if you get the mini goats and sheep you will not need the larger cow sheep / llama over ride. Plus they will sleep on the floor inside your home giving that living with the animals feeling, and with the horse ranch pack you can get the mini sheep and goats to eat the hay / parie grass from the feeder / wild grass if you put if on the lot so you dont need to manually feed them (which costs you money) 6. the Olde Cookbook mod should of come with a Sign post that you click on so you can gather sea water (to make salt) can send your sims to hunt for meat and forage for plants, go to Medieval events like church or a traveling circus, or travel to a rabit hole town to seek medical assistance. (edit: was typing this before you sent your sim out to hunt..... sorry) 7. For the butter or any other pantry item you will need to pick up each individual serving (there is 8) and then you can make things with it. 8. you could boil eggs to start with to supliment eating other than the gruel, and they do not spoil so you can leave them out of the fridge and on the table that they can take a serving whenever they are hungry..... sorry if I have shared too much.

Just to add to 2. Ive noticed you have to have at least 1 empty counter to prepare food. Or they put the cooking board down and claim they cant cook.

Omg I’m so happy to see you’re playing this challenge! Your Royalty Mod is so incredible! It has definitely been such a huge contributor to my own UDC gameplay! I can’t wait to dig into this series 🎉 also i’m behind on vids obviously, BUT what i do with the non-historically accurate produce is i keep it for generic recipe requirements (like recipes that say “any fruit, any veggie, etc”! i dunno if that’s cheating but i don’t think it is 😭

I love love LOVE the attention to detail you put into everything from the layout of the home to the names of the animals ! hope you have great fun rediscovering the game. I was interested to see your take on this challenge and especially excited to hear you muse about possibly making new mods. If you would like any help with the medieval research please hit me up. I've done 14th-century cooking for instance and am very familiar with which ingredients were available in England and the methods of food preservation they used. FWIW they actually did have dental hygiene even among the peasants. They didn't understand what caused tooth decay but having sweet breath and the appearance of clean teeth was considered an important part of grooming. Bad breath and bad smells in general were associated with disease. They had no toothbrushes but they chewed the end of a green twig until it broomsticked and then used all the twig fibers to scrub their teeth. They also rubbed homemade toothpaste or tooth powder over their teeth and then polished them with a cloth. Dental remains show that peasant's teeth had less decay than ours although they had a lot more wear from the coarse grains they ate. Please hit me up if there is anything you want to know about the 14th century. You asked about what to do with the non-appropriate produce. I don't like to plant or use inappropriate produce, but I'm willing to sell it and use the money. Some people cheat away the money but I admit I don't bother. There is SO much inappropriate stuff when you do this challenge that you do have to decide for yourself where you want to compromise and where you draw a line. I did appreciate all the effort you put into editing the lot and trying to make the furnishings and layout more correct.

Oh like miswak! That's so interesting and would make a fantastic little addition to the playthrough actually. I did find a list of 'seasonal' produce for the challenge so I'll be using that :) Thank you!

You should set the playlist to the opposite direction of order, because the newest upload is first and then it plays backwards. Preferably I myself like to watch them in order from first to last 😏

SUPER excited to see this! Will be keeping track of this challenge for sure, and very interested to see what changes this may bring to the Royalty mod down the line. My own Ultimate Decades Challenge has been so much fun so far, and I have so many tens of decades to go....

With the inventory, you can open one's inventory and transfer stuff directly to another by sliding the item/s onto the other persons profile .

Yes! They used to use wheat and pee on it. If it sprouted in so much time, you were most certainly pregnant. Its pretty neat and effective!

I can't immerse myself in my mods because I see it from a 'testers' POV, I see all the bugs and the framework which sucks the fun out of playing them :/

I'm only at the beginning of the video but I will forget to ask my question if I don't do it now : where does the "Would love to have a child trait" that your founder has come from? I've seen other Sims KZbinrs use it but they never mention what mod it is.

Did you use MCCC to change the time of the game? If so I’ve read that it also makes actions take longer too :/ So you don’t really get to do more things, everything is just slower. Someone said it was because they’d have to mod every action in the game because they’re tied to the time or something? And that it would be too difficult for anyone to tackle. I was gonna make time go slower too in my game until I found that out 😓

also if you just used a cheat to slow down the time, someone said it was the same thing MCCC uses, just without having to type in the cheat yourself

Ohhh, yes I did it through MCCC. That makes a lot of sense, I'll set it back to normal time then which sucks :/

I just started my UDC lol this is perfect timing or i would probably drop it with inspo 😭 Btw does the royalty mod conflict with any other mods because everything is broken with it in my game lol

@KaylaCorrigan-ur6js it's def not his mod, only issue I'm running into with it is the damn tax collector seems to cause MCCC to freak out and I run a loooooot of mods, overrides and cc. Like over 1k total lol

At first, I wasn't sure if I should get the ducks, geese and sheep, but now I've seen them, I need them!! 8-D They're so charming and add so much! Do the ducks and geese replace chickens and cockerels completely or are they extra options? Edit: I just read it and saw 'over-ride'. That's fine. :)
